Brilliance…

Uh! Why don’t I learn my lesson! You can’t take paint that’s been sitting for a couple of years and expect it to actually match when you’re trying to make touch ups. I had this problem at the old house. Today I had the brilliant idea to find the old paint and do some “touch-ups.” The people who lived here before us had nearly 20 buckets of paint that they left, most of which are different shades of gray. I found the colors that I thought I needed, proceeded to stir each one up and then go make the touch-ups. ACKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!! They don’t match like they’re supposed to. So now, it looks like I’ll be painting this weekend. More on this later…

My husband did the same thing a few years ago. He thought the paint would still be the same and did some touch up painting that ended up requiring an entirely new paint job. Even after he did it he didn’t think the difference was that noticeable because it was white. He couldn’t believe it when I walked in the room and noticed immediately. Live and learn.
