3. White Mountain National Forest, Maine
For a real rugged hike, head on down to the Appalachian Valley. The forest has several different campgrounds to choose from. The epic White Mountain Forest spans around 800,00 acres, through western Maine and New Hampshire. The hiking trails here are tons of fun, whether you’re using your skis or your snowshoes! There are areas to try fishing and biking, plus plenty of space for campers.

4. Sawtooth National Forest, Idaho
The Sawtooth National Forest is a gorgeous camping spot with lots to do. There are lots of different recreational areas, including the Minidoka Ranger District and the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. Across these areas there are many places to fish, paddle, go for a hike, or have a bike ride. You’ll be blown away by the beautiful scenery, and the great mountain climbing opportunities.

5. Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

    I keep mentioning your camping posts to PC. Hope he will nibble once this virus is behind us. Had never thought of renting a bus. Sounds like a party on wheels. Would be great with the family on our hopeful trip to Disney World.

    Rocky Mountain NP is one of my very favorite places, but I’ve never camped there. Your photo is beautiful! We may be taking a family road trip to FL next spring, hadn’t thought of renting a minibus, I will have to check that out.
