Writing Assignment:
3.) How did you parents choose your name? What does it mean? What would you change your name to if you could? (inspired by Mama’s Losin It)
This writing assignment was difficult to choose. I could have written about almost all of them! I chose to write about my name. I don’t use my name on here too much. I’m going to put it here now, but since google is so smart I’m adding stars to trick google up!

Lysha pronounced Lee-sha.

My mom had actually decided to name me Miranda, but my Dad’s grandmother and my Mom were very close and one day was talking with my great Grandmother (who we called Great-Great). Great-Great mentioned that she had a name for me that she would like her to think about and it was Leesha. My Mom must have fell in love with the name, obviously! She just decided to make her own spelling and use a “Y” for the long E sound. Needless, to say my name gets butchered more than not! Usually people say Lisha with a long I sound or Li-shay or who knows what else! LOL! I do like my name. I’m happy that I’m not one of those people that has a name that is shortened or that I go by my middle name. I don’t think I would change my name if I could. So that’s what’s in my name. What about yours?
