1. What does love mean to you? Love is a choice you have to make everyday. Love is a verb, not a noun. Love is showing up…even when you don’t feel like it. Love is putting others before yourself.

2. Is love blind? I’m not sure, but what I do know is… I think people can be attractive not just in the way they look. I’ve seen the most attractive people, but then they either open their mouth to speak or their actions completely change how I see them. Yet you may have someone who’s not all that good looking, but they have a heart of gold that draws people in.

And let’s be real…

3. How do you remember Valentine’s Day as a kid? Do you have any special plans for the day this year? I don’t remember specific details. I do remember always getting something from my grandparents. A white and red stuffed animal. A red plastic heart shaped container that I kept until recently. Lots of Russell Stover’s heart shaped boxes with assorted chocolates.

Rob and I went out to Il Forno (Italian) last night to celebrate early, because we’ve got Ash Wednesday service and then the Auburn basketball game tonight.

4 Are you a fan of the movie genre known as ‘rom-com’? What’s your favorite (or one of your favorites)? I do love a good rom-com. The 1st two that come to mind are Fools Rush In and Sixteen Candles.

5. What’s something you recently put your heart into? Hmmm…I’m not sure my heart is into it, but I have had a strong desire and motivation to declutter (like I mentioned before).

6. Insert your own random thought here. This is fun….

I think it’s definitely true that you can find someone attractive even if they aren’t conventionally beautiful. There’s a lot more to a person than looks.

I forgot about Sixteen Candles. That is definitely one I’ll watch over and over. Have fun at the game. We’re big Tennessee fans and have been enjoying the games on TV. We’d love to live close enough to go in person. We also follow Clemson too as that’s nearby and the women’s coach is my neighbor so we try to support her team.

That is interesting that Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s day are the same day this year. Your answers to 1 and 2 had me nodding my head. Happy Valentine’s day!

I certainly agree that how people behave can totally change how we view them in terms of being attractive. Sixteen Candles was a cute movie – I’d almost forgotten about it!
