This past Saturday we met Rob’s mom out at Choctafaula. She had some of our nieces and nephews with her for the weekend. We got there at 11am and paid. It’s $10/person and includes all the activities which I will share about in this post.
Inside the building where you pay they have some animals to look at, but not touch!
They also have some bouncy cows for the kids and rocking chairs for adults. This area is nice as this is where you wait for the tractor pulled, wagon ride.
Wagon Ride
It seems as though the wagon ride runs every hour on the half hour.
They stop several times along the way so you can feed (and pet some of the animals).
You can purchase food for $5/cup when you pay your entrance fee, which I highly recommend.
Water Buffalo that just like a big teddy bear. I think his name was Smoochy and he was raised by the owner from a bottle. Smoochy is now 9 years old and weighs 2,000+ lbs!
Baby Giraffes
The guided wagon ride through their farm is really well done. They talk about the different species of animals. They have over 250 animals!
Once we were done there, we took a bathroom break and washed our hands. Then we went over to the petting zoo area and the activity area.

Activity Area
Near the petting zoo area, they also have an in ground air pillow, spider web, and swing set.
We were there about 2 hours and at at that point it was past lunch time. So we headed back into town for some lunch at Jim & Nick’s.
Great time at Choctafaula for all ages! Well worth the money. Love supporting local families.

That looks like a fun place to explore.
Look at all the creatures. Who would have thought a water buffalo would be snuggly!! The weather seemed perfect and judging from the photos, everyone had fun. This whole set up remind me of the corn maze we visit in the fall minus the animals. Wish it had animals like this.
