The other night I found a package of tater tots that I had forgotten about. Since I had forgotten they were in there means, they had been in there too long. I decided I needed to use them. I was able to whip up this Tatortot Hamburger Pie, which my family enjoyed.
Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef or turkey
1/3 cup of chili powder
1 can petite dice tomatoes with green chilies
1 cup Mexican shredded cheese
2 cups frozen tatortots
1/3 cup ketchup
1 finely chopped onions
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef with onion and chili powder. Drain grease.
2. Mix in chilies, tomatoes, and ketchup.
3. In a baking dish, pour in meat mixture. Then top with cheese and tatortots and then a little more cheese.
4. Bake for 25 minutes.

This dish is right up our alley! I cant wait to make this. I will have to sub the tomato and chilies for just chilies (picky eater at home) but other than that I cant wait to give this a go. (: Thanks for sharing Lysha.
