    Memorial Day 2024

This year we were able to continue to tradition of Memorial Day Weekend at the lake. Here’s a few highlights and lots of pics… Rob and I got to the lake Friday and everyone else was at Niffer’s at the Lake for dinner. We had learned that Drew and Caitlyn had set up their new tent and would have room for Rob to stay in there with them. I was going be sleeping in the house this time because of my shoulder. We got all of our stuff unpacked. Mind you, I still can’t do much with my left arm,…

    Memorial Day Weekend 2021

We were so happy to be able to go to the lake this year for Memorial Day. We raced out to lake trying to beat the rain. We camp out at the lake so we were anxious to get everything set up. We ended up getting the big tent up just enough so we could stand under it before it started really pouring down. The rain let off enough so we could get our sleeping tent set up, and we knew there were holes in the rainfly. We usually get so lucky with rain so we’ve never had the reality…

Memorial Day Weekend at Lake Martin 2017

This Memorial Day weekend was fun. We always appreciate the invitation from our good friends to camp out at their lake house and enjoy the sun. This year felt a little different for a couple reasons. We cooked most meals up at the house because we didn’t have all the normal gear that we borrow from the Cubscout Pack. It was also different because Drew’s friend Joe wasn’t able to get back from school, which we expected. Boys on the tube Gabe skiing Fun on the kneeboard These girls are always fun to watch while their tubing Got some great…

It was so nice that they already had our tent and everything set up when we got there. Fun time with these two These girls crack me up. Rest and relaxation is never a bad thing at the lake. Glad Rob got back so he could cook for us 😉 Photo bomb! Man we’re gonna miss that…

Lake Martin on Memorial Day 2014

The Friday before Memorial Day weekend, we loaded up the car, with the best camping gifts for a fun weekend of camping on the lake with the F@rrow Family. Among our essentials, we also brought along this Mini Katana for our camping adventure. Drew and his friend, Joe, who the 2nd eldest child of the F@rrow bunch, got to the lake early afternoon. When we arrived they had all of the tents set up. The big canopy tent for us to use for shade as well as the cooking area. Since we had some of the cooking gear with us,…

Lovin’ Life at Lake Martin 2011
