    Senior Sunday

    One Sunday, nearly a month ago, our church hosted the senior recognition breakfast and service. It was an exciting morning. We enjoyed fellowship with friends and family. Rob’s Mom, step Dad, and adopted sister, Rachael came to it. Breakfast included egg and bacon casserole, grits, fruit salad, and cinnamon covered biscuits. Marc, the youth director, bragged on the class of 2016 and spoke some eloquent words about going off into the world and keeping God the center of their lives, and then they showed a slide of all the seniors.     Prom 2016

    Prom was a few weeks ago. The morning was busy with one Drew’s friend’s Eagle Courts of Honor and Alex had a soccer game luckily it was a home game. First thing that morning, I sent Drew out to Flowersmith’s to pick up the corsage and boutonniere. After all the hub-bub of the morning, we were able to get back to the house to finish prepping for the busy evening that awaited. Rob and I were asked by Drew’s group to host dinner.     Win with Grace? Lose with dignity

    Drew’s high school, AHS made it to the 3rd round of the playoffs. Drew has been super excited that they continue to win, as he really wanted to perform (marching band) at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Unfortunately, that dream came to a grinding halt tonight. They had to play their rivals, OHS. AHS played horribly. Being out-coached, coming out cocky, and expecting the same play to work ever time is not a formula for a win in the playoffs, especially against your arch rival.     Busy Football Friday

    Friday was a busy day. As much as I had hoped to get a lot of items marked off my to-do-list, it just didn’t happen. I spent about half a day at work. Fridays are not usually days that I work but it was our Open House. I was on the committee for that, so it was necessary for me to be there.
