Original I did 5 or 6 edits of this photo, but I wanted to post something “out of the box.” So here you have it! This is a texture layer added to make it look like a strip of film. Not my favorite, but something different.

Original – “Mr. Handsome” Here’s my fixed photo. I played around with this picture and didn’t like anything I came up with. Then I decided to see what would happen when I played around with the black/white adjustments in Photoshop and this is what I came up with.

Original – “Most Beautiful Gift” Here’s my fixed photo. I cropped it and increased the vibrance on the background. Sharpened the pic and then used a Coffeeshop Action called Honey Retro.

Original – “Pretty In Pink” Some slight improvements. Didn’t want to do anything drastic because the picture composition is so nice.

Original – “Little Precious” Here’s my “fixed” version. Using CS4, I played with curves to help with the exposure. Then, I unmasked the eyes and used the dodge tool. I increased the vibrance to bring out the color. I then used Lens Blur along with a dark vignette on the pic excluding her face. I cloned out some of the little red marks on her face.

Original – “Ponytail Princess” Here’s my “fixed” version. Using CS4, I cropped the picture. Then I played with curves to help with the exposure. Then, I unmasked the eyes and used the dodge tool. I increased the vibrance to bring out the color. I uploaded into Picnik, where I went into Create and did the Effect called Orton-ish. I decided to use that effect because it made the colors a little brighter and softened the photograph. From there I went to Edit and did Rotate. Then, back under Create in Frames, I did Rounded Edges

Over on this awesome site, they do Fix it Friday, where this original picture is straight out of the camera and needs a little help. I messed around and tried several different things including some different actions. I’ve been indecisive about posting this photography here or on my photog biz site.
