Sometimes a quick getaway is just what you need to reconnect and reset. A couple weeks ago, we headed to Texas to visit Rob’s Dad and Step Mom in Huntsville. After our Texas visits and driving from Huntsville, TX to Baton Rouge, LA, we enjoyed spending time with Rob’s family (his cousin and her husband and their 8 kids). The kids enjoyed playing basketball. Reading together Sitting around the fire since it was a little chili out. This year for Thanksgiving we drove down to Spring Hill, Florida for a family visit. Rob’s Mom, brother, Nick, and adopted sister, Rachael as well as Rob’s sister Maria and her entire family came as well. We rented a home on VRBO.com. We split our time between the rental home and Gramma’s house. It was nice to catch up with my sis-in-law and her family since we don’t get to see them much. The end of our long trip culminated with visiting of 2 more families. Saturday we enjoyed a visit from Rob’s sister, Jill and her husband and their new baby girl. So exciting to get to meet our newest niece. Alex had fun playing with his new cousin.
We left Friday after Rob got off work. Our first destination was Moore, Oklahoma, where Rob’s sister lives. We knew we couldn’t make it the entire 13 hours, so he made plans to stop in Maumelle, AR. I feel like I haven’t blogged in forever! I am so far behind and with each passing day, I get farther and farther behind. It’s so frustrating, but life has been so busy.
