    ScoutFest at City Fest {2012}

    This year Rob was in charge of the Scout booth at Auburn City Fest. It was the first year to do this and I think it was great. He and other scout leaders are constantly looking for ways to promote scouting and they came up with having an area in the Child’s Imagination Station are of City Fest this year. The Monkey Bridge was quite a hit Boys got to earn a ticket that they could take to an upcoming Pack meeting and turn in for a belt loop when they join Cub Scouts! See a few more pics here.

    Arrow of Light 2012

    Back in 2009, Drew received his Arrow of Light and crossed over to Boy Scouts. This year for the ceremony, Drew got to be one of the Boy Scouts dressed up in regalia.     Feeling the Love at Camp

    Last week Drew spent his first week at camp. He went away to Boy Scout Camp in North Carolina; Camp Daniel Boone. I always loved getting stuff while away at camp, so I had a lot of fun writing letters and packaging up little things to send him. Put a mark next to “Good Mom” deeds and helping the camp newbie feel the love at camp his first year! 🙂 On the packing list was of course a laundry bag. I found this in the $1 department at Target.     Drew earns the Arrow of Light

    Arrow of Light award is the highest award in Cub Scouts earned by Webelos. Part of the requirements to earn this award is to help them choose which boy scout troop they would like to cross over to as well the Scout badge, which will be warn on their new boy scout uniform in the spot where they put their rank. We’re so very proud of Drew for earning this award and even happier that he’s chosen to crossover to boy scouts. He will be in Troop 15. We have our ceremony on the property of one of our scouts…
