    30 days of Thankfulness – Day 7

Today I’m thankful my awesome group of student workers. I’ve found through my experiences in my new job, that I love working with college aged ‘kids.’ The students I work with are anywhere from 18-26 years old. We don’t limit what majors are allowed to work in our department, which is really cool because we have students’ majors vary: education, engineering (of all sorts), pre-med, anthropology, philosophy, history, public relations. We also have a diverse group. I learn so much from these guys and gals. Talking to these kids, I’ve learned so much about other countries, especially India. I enjoy…

    30 days of Thankfulness – Day 5

Today I’m thankful for my job. I love my job and even if I didn’t I’m thankful to finally have steady income after several year so of not having it. I love my job for many reasons… -an easy going, flexible, easy to work with, easy to talk to, boss (who hosts great parties) -great students who I get to work with and supervise -working at the university where I graduated from -great benefits -working in library is so much more than what most people would think (I’ll write a post about this later)

    It’s Officially Official

I’m just elated at my job and although many of my *new duties have not begun, I know this is where I belong. I’ve always been proud to say that I’m an Auburn Alum, but now I can say I’m an Auburn Employee! WAR EAGLE! *I was doing this job as a temp before being hired full-time.

    Toomer’s Oak Trees

I’m not sure I can find the words to express the sadness that the Auburn Family are experiencing because of the impending death of the Toomer’s Oak Trees. These are the times when we realize the role of tree service springfield il. For those of you who are unaware of what I’m speaking of I’ll try to put it in a nutshell for ya. Toomer’s Corner is the center of town, right downtown and the corner of campus. It’s where 1,000’s of students, alumni, and fans gather after every Auburn victory. It’s a place where we celebrate by rolling the…

    We are the Champions!

This season has been nothing less than remarkable and amazing. I agree with Coach Chizik in saying that to try and describe it would “cheapen it.” As Auburn Alum and die-hard fans, Rob and I go into every football season hoping and praying that Auburn plays well and goes to good bowl game. After the 2004 season losing a chance to play for the National Championship, it seemed as if we would probably never live to see Auburn do that well again. This team proved us wrong and we are so glad they did! Here’s when ESPN Game Day came…

    Vet School Open House 2009

Saturday we went to the Auburn University Vet School Open House. They have it every year and we’ve never been. It was really fun. Lots to do and see for free! Another reason to love living in a college town. Agility Demonstration Llama, llama, llama in the petting zoo Another animal in the petting zoo; the Alpaca Green Tree Python in the snake exhibit Sheep herding. This was so awesome to see how these Border Collies can control these sheep. Since we have a Herding dog, a Corgi, it was fun to imagine our dog doing this. Here they painted…

    1st Post of 2006!

Hope everyone survived the New Year’s festivities. 😀 I didn’t post yesterday, because I was so bummed about going back to work today. Yesterday, I got off to a *great* start (not following my goals) by having a fish fry. Rob fried out catfish, fries, and hush puppies. Yum! Today I had to make the trek back to work. Not only was I bummed because going back to work is depressing and we’re having to work on a FEDERAL HOLIDAY, but I was going to miss the Auburn Bowl Game. Well, as it turns out we were able to leave…

    What a Weekend!!

Wow! What a weekend! Friday we went to the Wreck Tech Parade and Pep Rally. It was fun and I took lots of pictures. I’ve posted some below! You can go here and see lots more! After the parade we cleaned the house and I wore myself plum out! The house hadn’t had a real good cleaning in quite awhile, especially the boys rooms! EEeessshhh! Saturday morning we finished cleaning and did about 8 loads of wash! Rob’s family (Rob’s Mom, step dad, sister, brother-in-law, brother, and adopted brother and sister) got here about noon, I think. We then built…
