I love bacon cheeseburgers, or any variation, so I was super excited to find this Bacon Cheeseburger Roll-Up Recipe. My recipe is a little different than the original in that I used homemade pizza dough as well as a couple other additions, I made. Servings: 6 Prep Time: 25 minutes Cooking Time: 20 minutes Ingredients: 1 lb. lean ground beef 4 pieces of chopped bacon 1 small chopped onion 1/2 lb. (8 oz.) Velveeta Cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes 1 pkg. (14 oz.) refrigerated pizza crust (I used my homemade dough)

I forgot to blog about this a couple weeks ago. This was one afternoon after Drew got home from school. His allergies were driving him crazy, especially after his walk home. I gave him some Benadryl and I’m pretty sure it induced this short period of silence for me. As for Alex, he didn’t have any medicine or anything. I think he was just warn out from a busy day of driving me crazy. Regardless, it was quiet around here for a couple hours and it was nice.

I’m always looking for ways to change up potatoes. These Parmesan Potatoes are so easy and a family pleaser. Servings: 4 Prep Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 30 minutes Ingredients: 1 cup of olive oil 1 cup grated parmesan cheese 1 tsp. garlic salt 4-6 Yukon gold or russet potatoes, cut into thin wedges Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 425ºF. 2. Chop potatoes into desired size. The thinner you make them crispier they will get. 3. Put in bowl with olive oil. Make sure all pieces get coded in the oil. 4. Pour 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese and 1…

We left Friday around noon and headed to Orange Beach for some fun and soccer. We didn’t get far before we had to stop because the truck was over-heating. Luckily we were close enough to Montgomery that we could turn around and find a place to go. We ended up at a car repair place in downtown thanks to AAA, which is a whole entry unto itself! We were able to walk to Daisy’s Diner. Great little place and lots of food for the money. Our stop in Montgomery set us back about 3 hours, but ended up in Orange…

Here’s another creation that I finished the other day. I took some old jeans from the kids and cut them straight across a couple inches from the crotch (couldn’t think of another word, sorry). Turned the jeans inside out and sewed the bottom together. Then, I took the red/white gingham clothe and cut it to fit inside the jeans. Those two piece were put insides facing each other and sewed them together. Since I had these handles from another purse that I have, I measured to see where the handle loops need to go. From there, I folded down the…

Maybe I should be: cleaning, exercising, working, who knows! I love the smell of: pumpkin spice, Cool Water, hubby’s tomato sauce cooking. People would say that I: am shy until I get to know you. I don’t understand why: so many people are inconsiderate and rude. When I wake up in the morning: I try to think what day it is. I lost my willpower to: stay in shape. If there’s a dessert in the room: I’ll eat it, more than likely. Life is: full of surprises. My past made me: a bit paranoid. I get annoyed when I: am…

Drew, who now wants to be called Lil’ Man, has for the longest time wanted a garden. Well with all the woods in our backyard it doesn’t really lend itself to that. I’ve seen how tomatoes grow really well upside down. And instead of spending $20 on the Topsy Tomato planter we decided to make our own and recycle at the same time. We used an empty ice cream container. I cut a hole in the bottom. In order to prevent the dirt from falling out of the bottom of the bucket we used some screen. At first I wasn’t…

Well, I should be busy editing pictures of the 2 soccer teams & players I did this past week among about 2,000 pics I took at a soccer tournament last weekend. But….my computer decided she needed some time off. (she, he, whatever.) 🙂 Anyway, I’m praying that it is the Logic Board like the initially diagnosed, just in hearing my description of what it was doing. I’m so bad about backing stuff up that there’s no telling what I would lose and not realize it for the longest time. I was able to backup all of my photos since I…

I was going to write a nice post about my younger child, but it has been literally a NON-stop day! So I’ll just let the pictures do the talking for now. Can’t believe he’s FIVE!

Original Here’s my “fixed” pic. I felt like this picture would look different with a ‘washed’ out look.

We went last week to Texas. It was a very quick trip to see Grandmother and try to get all my stuff from the house. We brought a ton of stuff back. Nothing of great value and really when you look at it all, it looks like a bunch of junk! But one man’s junk is another man’s treasures, right? And most of this stuff I brought back is treasure to me. If you asked me how you box up memories, I’d show you the boxes of stuff sitting in my living room. I emptied 2 of the boxes last…

Be sure to check out I ♥ Faces to see all the other beautiful faces that have been entered into the contest! This is my first adult entry. I guess because I never feel very confident that I have anything good enough. I had lots of cool black and whites from this recent maternity session, but they were all faceless! Didn’t figure that would fly to well with I ♥ Faces contest. 🙂
