As another year passes, I like to end the year with this Memories, Dreams, and Reflections post. It’s always fun looking back through all my pictures to find ones that go with each prompt. Wishing everyone a happy new year!
1. Me!
2. I Love You
Love this family of mine. This is from our recent cruise, which I haven’t had a chance to share about yet.
3. Still Laughing…
In March, we went to the Savannah Banana game in Montgomery. It’s a lot of fun. They do a tour and I highly recommend everyone go see them if they come to your area. This was outside before the game started. And this is “Stilts” and he actually bats during the game.
4. Winter Wonderland
Our winter this year was pretty mild, but I did love the pics I took on my walk in early January.
5. Birthday
Drew’s 25th birthday at Vintage 2298
Alex’s 19th birthday at Mikata
My 48th birthday that I celebrated with the fam at Viva La Vida
6. Friends Here we are with some of our dearest friends at Drew’s wedding. Just so thankful for all of our many friends who did so much to make that day the best.
7. I Was Inspired…
I feel like this last year our area has had some epic sunsets and beautiful skies. This sunset at the camp where we do our Walk to Emmaus retreats was awe-inspiring for sure!
8. Spring Fever
9. Travel or Vacation Last year I started a travel recap post so this post isn’t any longer. haha! Here’s my Travel Summary post for 2023
10. Summer Days
Summer isn’t really anything different for us since our kids are grown. It’s just dag-blasted hot. We did enjoy a 4th of July celebration at my in-laws.
11. A Day In My Life
Kayleigh is my loyal sidekick. I can always count on her.
12. All Smiles
So happy to have found a new church home!
13. Autumn/Fall
14. Family or Home
This is the family from our side of the family that was at Drew’s wedding.
15. Celebrate!
You can’t talk about this year without thinking back to Drew & Caitlyn’s epic day. Will forever be so thankful for their gorgeous wedding day.
16. Let’s Do It Again…
Drew and Caitlyn threw a Halloween party that was so much fun. Hoping they make this a tradition.
17. I Miss You
Every since visiting my new niece, I have missed her so much and she is going to be so big when I see her next.
18. Beautiful
I had so many thoughts about beautiful photos from this year. I chose this pic from our recent cruise in Amber Cove (Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic).
19. Dress Up
I can’t think of dress up this year without thinking of Drew’s wedding this year. Love this pic of us.
20. Macro
21. Holidays
A favorite pic of my boys this Christmas. I’ll be posting about the holidays soon.
22. My Favorite
23. Don’t Ever Change
24. Just Because…
Rob and I at the only church Rob and I knew and loved for all our 26+ years of being in Auburn at Easter. This is the last holiday we spent the there. You can read about what happened here>>>Leaving My Church After 26 Years
25. Hopes and Dreams I’m never sure what to post for this one. I love this place called Seven Mountains. Just a cool art installation in the desert that is popular because of instagram!
This is such a fun post to put together. It requires that you think through the last year and look through your pictures. I would love for you to join with me by doing this post. If you do please share it below in the comments! Happy New Year!
Here’s the ‘rules’ of this post from Ashley: The beauty of Memories, Dreams and Reflections is that you don’t really have to photograph anything new, but share photos you’ve taken all year long. Want to join along? Here’s how:
1. Go through your 2020 archives and select photos that represent each prompt (or take a few new photos).
2. Feel free to write as much or as little about each prompt as you’d like.
3. Feel free to post more than one picture for each prompt if you think it’s necessary. If you don’t have a picture to represent the prompt, skip it…participate as much or as little as you’d like.
4. If you use any photos that are not your own, please provide a source.
5. Have fun!
This was such a fun way to wrap up your year; and it looks like it was a great one for you and your family.
Oh, I love this and I think I will do my own spin on this!
