Desert Trip – Day 5

By | September 1, 2023

Here we are for another trip journal. This is another day in Vegas. If you missed my previous posts from our Desert trip check those out >>>> Desert Trip

That morning we woke up and decided to try one of the restaurants in our hotel.

Food was really good. I had the Chilaquiles for the first time and Rob had the Best Eggs Benedict.

After that we explored the Palazzo and Venetian shopping areas. Just amazing that as you’re shopping your surrounded by the man-made canals that wind through these resort areas.

Really fun candy/dessert shop.

Really cool view from the front of the resort

Since this was our last full day in Vegas, we wanted to take advantage of all the pools. We went down and looked at all the pools and ended up finding the Palazzo pools to be a much better atmosphere and better music. Enjoying the cool water, I also tried my luck with some online casino games at UFABET เข้าสู่ระบบ เพื่อรับโบนัส.

I enjoyed a very, very expensive margarita.

While hanging out at the pool, we researched where to have dinner. We had decided we wanted to eat in a restaurant that was in our resort. We ended up making reservations at the Lavo. Atmosphere outside was lovely.

I honestly didn’t think this was worth the price. Food was fine. Nothing super amazing. Wouldn’t go back.

After that we walked down the new Resort World for the concert (my Christmas gift!!)

There’s Resort World advertising for Katy’s show.

4.14.2023--21.14.05
As we walked through Resort World, I snapped this shot of this Stardust sign, not knowing that where Resort World now stands used to be where the Stardust Casino and Resort used to stand. We found out at the concert that Katy Perry’s aunt was a showgirl and her grandmother was a seamstress for the show, both in the Stardust! Katy said that was a true sign that she needed to do her concert residency there.

We had really awesome seats on the 10th row.

Katy’s Vegas show was so well done. I was little concerned it might be a bit raunchy. I mean it’s Vegas after all, but it was all very tastefully done. There were lots of kids at the show, so I was happy to see it was pretty kid friendly.

Rob took this while he waited for me to use the bathroom before we walked back to our hotel. This is from inside Resort World.

So glad Katy Perry’s show was appropriate. Especially with lots of kids in the audience. Looks like her set was amazing!! We haven’t been to Vegas but once together and that was years ago. I was so sick that it hampered my fun. Maybe we need to plan another trip back again. I enjoyed hearing all about your desert trip and seeing your fabulous photos.

That does look wonderful! I had a great time peeking into all the shops at the Venetian last time we went to Vegas and with the sky mural and the canal it really had a very open air feel to it.
