Christmas Eve and the day before, I was busy baking and cooking. In the late afternoon of Christmas Eve, Alex performed in our church’s children pageant. He was a shepherd (without a headdress for some reason).
Afterwards, we went home to eat the Christmas Eve meal that I had prepared was similar to what I did last year. Instead of doing green beans, I made baked beans. We had:
Honey Baked Ham
Hash Brown Casserole
Homemade Baked Beans – recipe coming soon
After our dinner, we watched a Christmas movie and then went back to church for a regular Christmas Eve service, so that Rob could get his fix of “Oh Holy Night.” It’s always an amazing song to hear and the girl who usually does it, is truly amazing, but she just a had a baby so someone different sang it. We’ll just say, I had goosebumps and tears.
We got home afterwards and I let Alex open his PJ’s and since Drew begged me last year not to make him wear PJ’s, I surprised with an Auburn Under Armor Jacket. He was happily surprised to see it was NOT PJ’s.
See a few more pics from Christmas Eve here.
