Saturday We left Saturday morning at crack-o-dawn to head down to get Drew. Drew was in Orange Beach, AL for a soccer tourney. He had gone down earlier in the week since it was spring break to enjoy some time on the beach before his games began on Saturday. So that was about a 4 hour detour. We stayed for both games. Got to have some Shrimp Po-boys at the Shrimp Basket. We got out of town about 3ish. Spring Break traffic was horrific, so we ended up going a different way. We had planned to drive straight through, but…

Paula Deen: It Ain’t All About the Cookin’ In Paula Deen‘s book, It Ain’t All About the Cookin’, she holds nothing back. I adore her candidness. I’ll start off by warning you that if you think of Paula Deen as “a flawless southern woman,” then this book is not for you. She sugarcoats nothing, which I really appreciated. She starts off by dropping a ‘small’ bombshell and for those of you who may read it, I won’t ruin it for you. For me, it was something I had suspected from her, but really I shouldn’t let it bother me. A…

Here’s the entire Wells family (minus my 2 brothers on that side of the family). We ate at Joe T. Garcia’s after leaving Grandmother’s visitation at the funeral home. Joe T’s is my Uncle Guy’s favorite place to eat, but it’s been years since I’ve been. It’s an amazing place. Beautiful scenery, fountains, greenery. Highly recommended. More pics coming soon.

Outside my window… beautiful spring-like weather. I am thinking… of Toomer’s Trees and all the time, effort, and money being put into trying to save them. All because of an idiot! Read about it here. Over the years I’ve seen various other bloggers work towards completing 101 tasks in 1001 days. Although, I already have a bucket list, many of the tasks on my bucket list are things I’m sure I’ll never do in my life time. However with this 101 in 1001, I’ve tried to think of tasks/goals that are achievable in this time frame. Start date: Friday, February 18, 2011 End date: Friday, November 15, 2013 I would encourage you to make each day count and maybe making a list like this will give you a little motivation. If you decide to do…

This afternoon was busy. First we started off at Plainsman Park for the 1st baseball game of the season. I just had my point & shoot, so I didn’t get any great pics of the game. I did however manage to get some good pics of Aubie. From there, Drew and I went his den meeting, where one of our den dads is a police officer who came and talk to the boys about being safe.

I’ve been wanting to update on what’s been going on. I’m enjoying so much doing the 365 Project, but this blog wasn’t meant to be mainly a photography blog. Although, this blog has turned into much more that I had originally planned, which was to chronicle the lives of my family, the good, the bad, and sometimes even the ugly! Life is starting to rev back up again. Drew starts back to soccer practice this week. He’s already returned to his weekly scout meetings and D-group sessions. He’s thinking of trying out for the JV track team. This weekend he’ll…

So today is Drew’s birthday and yes, he is a teenager! I’m not sure if I start feeling light-headed when I think of that, because it makes me feel old or because it seems like yesterday, I couldn’t wait to meet our first born. The other day, I had kind of this out of body experience. I was sitting in my Lazy Boy chair in the living room, where I usually sit when I’m in the living room. The boys were on the couch watching TV together. I had the weirdest picture appear in my head and I’m not sure…
