Ok, I thought I’d seen it all, but…
Today we went to Shogun where they cook in front of you. Well, we’re sitting there and across a few tables a family sits down and they have a little boy. He was probably 5 or so. The mom sits a lap top down in front of him. A laptop!! Not a hand held game, not a game boy! A laptop!!! She clicks a few times and a game opens up. He plays it while they watch their food being cooked etc!! Sheeesshhh!! Posted 4/29/2005 at 11:4 PM

A Little Reminder…
Today I got to work. My students were wild! My ear had been hurting since I woke up and I was starting to get a headache. I went into my cabinet, got my purse out to find some tylenol or something, and what did I find? One of T-baby’s toys that he was playing with in the car while on the way to daycare. I laughed out loud when I saw it. And for a minute I forgot everything else that was going on! It made my day! Posted 4/27/2005 at 5:32 PM

DARE graduation was awesome! My students rock and I’m going to miss them so much! It is amazing how I feel about this group of students. Usually at the end of the year, I’m happy to see the kids go on. I guess knowing that these are 5th graders moving on to middle school, it makes it a bit more difficult. I just really worry about a hand full of them as I’m afraid that they may not do what they pledged tonight. (to be drug and violence free) That’s the sad thing!

Drew’s nose is doing ok. The swelling is almost gone, but he’s still real stopped up and having some bleeding here and there. He’s bruised real bad and has a black eye.
He was real happy this morning when we got home from Walmart, the dentist office and called to cancel his appt! We’re eating lunch now and then we’re gonna go work on his egg-drop project. Fun! Fun! Posted 4/25/2005 at 12:12 PM

Finally gave Alex a haircut yesterday! I think I got it shorter than any other time, but usually I just trim it. This time I “layered” and took a lot of the weight off. I’ll get some pics soon so you can see.
Tomorrow I’m taking off because Drew doesn’t have school and Rob has a conference the next 2 days. I’m also taking Drew to the dentist tomorrow. Other than that I hope to get some stuff done around the house. Let’s see…for the rest of the week… Drew has a game Thursday night Hope everyone has a great week!! Posted 4/24/2005 at 7:18 PM

Falling Asleep At the Keyboard! How pitiful is that? I’m sitting here trying to read some blogs, etc and I’m falling asleep! I would love to take a nap right about now, but I’m going to the Auburn baseball game in a little bit, so don’t have time. Ahhh…I just dozed off again! I think it’s my headache medicine. Sometimes it makes me sleepy and other times it doesn’t! I woke up with a headache this morning! I guess if I get up and go do some stuff that I SHOULD be doing, instead of stting here that would help! Don’t you just hate it when you can’t keep your eyes open? Posted 4/23/2005 at 3:24 PM

I’m thinking hard…yes that’s difficult for me! Anyway…I need to reevaluate why I blog. I started off blogging for family and friends to read. But for some reason they don’t seem to read it and if they do, I don’t KNOW they do! So in turn my interest has turned to the people that I’ve “met” by blogging. I feel like when I’m writing I’m talking to them. I ask for input from ANYONE and don’t get any. If I hadn’t have just paid for 6 more months of Xanga, I might seriously just take this blog down and write privately for myself to look back and remember. I know it sounds like I’m having a pity party, but I’m not. I’m trying to be truthful to myself! I could go on and on about all this, but I’m just going to leave it at that!
Hope your day was great! Posted 4/22/2005 at 4:54 PM

Drew went to the doctor and he didn’t break his nose. It’s just badly bruised. I’ll see how he’s feeling in a bit when I go pick him up!

My poor baby….
Drew was outside the batting cages before his game started. His best friend, AM, was getting ready to go in the cages, he was swinging the bat. He swang the bat and Drew was standing behind him. YES! He got hit BAD in the nose. Rob and I were not over there at the time. We were on the other side! Well, our coaches and other parents can’t get either Drew’s or his AM’s names straight!! So they came over and asked if were AM’s parents and we were like, No, his mom is right over there. So we thought AM was hurt since they asked for him. We’re go over to the cages and we see AM’s mom, who’s our good friend on her cell phone freaking out. She sees us and says Drew got hit by AM and his nose is broken. We run over there and he’s got blood from head to toe and crying uncontrollably! Paramedics get there and there was a dr who is a dad on our team. He says he looks ok and to take him to the dr when the swelling goes down. We talk to Drew and he wants to stay for the game so we did. AM and his mom were so upset, but everything is good now. Rob is taking him to the dr tomorrow. Please keep Drew in your thoughts! Posted 4/20/2005 at 10:11 PM

Today we went on a field trip to Columbus, GA to the Civil War Naval Museum. It was really awesome. I learned a lot! The kids were great. The school day ended with one of my co-5th grade teachers having a seizure type episode. It was so scary and she refused to go with the EMT’s to the hospital. I think her niece was going to pursuade her to go. Anyway, I’m about to go get this kids and get Drew ready for his game tonight.

Last night…
Drew kept coming up to me with his mouth open and his tongue pushing his loose tooth from side to side. I was eating corn on the cob and he wanted some. I cooked him one. He started eating it. All of a sudden he said, “My tooth came out!!” I replied by asking if he had swallowed it! He said, “no.” We spent about 30 minutes looking for it and to no avail. So he wrote the tooth fairy a note and she came, which made him happy. Posted 4/18/2005 at 8:2 PM

Here’s my big boy sleepin’ on the couch! This was Friday night. I try not to let him fall asleep on the couch, because he’s too heavy to pick up and carry. And waking him up is almost as hard. This is how it usually goes after I’ve gotten him to stand up. He’s standing up, but not really awake! “Let’s go to bed. Let’s go to bed. Let’s walk up the stairs” He lays down ON THE STAIRS! “Get up! Let’s go to bed! We’ve got to get up the stairs!” After we finally get upstairs in his room we continue this struggle as we try to get him in his PJ’s! Ahhh…It’s exhausting!! LOL Posted 4/17/2005 at 10:20 PM

On Rachael‘s site she asked these questions!
How many hours of sleep do you get in a day? How often do you bath your baby/kids? How often do you do laundry? How many loads a week? How often do you clean out your car? How often do you and your husband get out of the house for a date? How often do you grocery shop? How often do you go out to eat? How many diapers a day do you go through? How often do you clean your house? What are your favorite household cleaning products? How often do you watch television? How often do you have alone time? How often do you cook? Yes! I went walking again today. Although I didn’t walk my full 30 minutes, at least I went! I had to go potty so bad I couldn’t make it the last 10 minutes! I’m proud of me!!! Posted 4/15/2005 at 10:28 PM

I woke up this morning with my right eye covered in dried up goop! It was yuck! I had to pry my eye open with my fingers. I immediately got concerned, because T-baby has had goopy eyes the last 2 days. My first thought was “Pink eye!” But I got up and got dressed, went to the bathroom to finish getting ready. Looking at my eyes didn’t look pink or anything, so I went ahead and put my contacts in. When I got to school, I had several people ask if I was feeling ok! I was like, Yah? They said your eyes is red. They started asking me questions, as I told them I’ve never had pink eye! Since it wasn’t bothering me except for feeling really dry, it felt fine. Later in the day it watered like crazy. When I got home this evening I looked and it wasn’t red at all. This evening it was just a bit red. So we’ll keep an ‘eye’ on it! (no pun intended!)

How you like the banner at top? I had something similar to this on my iBlog that I was trying out. I decided to change it a little and use it here. At least for a bit! I’m trying not to use my first name on things, since it has somewhat of a unique spelling for security reasons! That’s also why I quit signing comments with my real name, if any of you are wondering! I’m off to soak in a nice hot bath! Cya later!

As for my mood yesterday…I don’t know why I get that way. Oh well! Thanks for all the wonderful comments! It’s nice to know someone out there is “listening”. Last night Drew had practice and it poured down after that. I didn’t get to walk, but that’s ok. I hit the road today and plan to walk Friday & Saturday. Tomorrow Drew has a game and pictures early, so I probably won’t get to walk. I’m determined to meet my goal of walking 5 times this week.

Drew yesterday said, “I’m ready for a new house! We need to buy a new house to see what it’s like to live somewhere else.” I told him that if we moved he may not go to the same school and he said he didn’t care!
Today he said, “I wish I could change the world! I want to make the world where we don’t have to work or go to school! Where everything is free and we could just do fun stuff all the time. I wish we could just learn what we wanted to and not have to do it in a school building.” Posted 4/13/2005 at 7:11 PM

Ya-yay! Bay-bee!! Ok, sorry! I went walking again today! I went a different route, since it had rained. I was dreading the uphill walk back, but I was invigorated! I ended up walking about 5 more minutes. I walked about 35 minutes. I took my iPod with me and I think it made my walk go by faster.
My eating this week has been a tad better than normal, but not as good as I’d like. Posted 4/13/2005 at 7:7 PM

Do you ever feel like the world is up against you? Like nothing you do is right…unloved, uncared for…like you’re the scum of the Earth, dirt! That’s how I’m feeling tonight!!! I’ll come back when I’m in a better mood.

2 DAYS OF EXERCISING IN A ROW!!
Can you believe it? I can’t!! My body was in such pain last night, I felt like I’ld done more than just WALK!! I felt like I’d done full body aerobics! Today I woke up sore, but got better through the day. I kept telling myself on my way home from work, “you’re going walking!” While my subconscious kept saying, “Noooo, you don’t need to go today. You’re too sore!” So I got home and was pretty hungry so I had a light snack and had resolved to the fact that I wasn’t going, but something just made me start changing and I didn’t argue with it! I walked for 32 minutes today and at a little slower pace. My legs are sore especially the front part of my right leg. It’s not my shin. It’s the muscle next to it. It had a cramp the entire time I walked today. I think I get that because I life my toes way up while taking a step. I guess I’m still in that habit from marching band. I don’t know! Anyway a Big smile from me to you! Hope you’re having a great day! Posted 4/11/2005 at 5:40 PM

I went walking today! YES! I exercised! Yay, me! I walked for 37 minutes! I hope to walk 5 days this week! I also hope to drink more water and eat healthier! So we will see! Anyone else trying to get motivated? What do you do to get and stay motivated?

Here are all my blogs from my trial period on iBlog:
Tuesday, April 6, 2005Drew had his first baseball game of the series today. We were afraid that we wouldn’t get it in, because the bad weather that was coming. Lightening came and they had to call the game. Luckily, they were able to get it started and we’re pretty sure it counted. Speaking of “counting”, Drew has played ball for 3 years now and this is the first season where they actually keep score! It was just a little added stress for me, knowing they’re keeping score. The boys are much more competitive each season it seems. Drew was happy that they won, as they were playing one of his teammates! Go Indians!! Monday, April 4, 2005I’m home…not feeling good. Alex is sleepin’. Drew and Rob went to baseball practice and then to the AU bb game. I’m just feel “uck!” I’ll write more when I’m feeling better! Hope everyone else had a great day! Sunday, April 3, 2005Spring Break is over and it’s back to work tomorrow! I’m bummed! Not only to we have to go back to school, but we have to go back and have 2 weeks of standardized testing! YUCK! But I guess the sooner we get back the sooner summer will be here! Longer more in depth entries later, hopefully! Hope you’re having a great day! Later Saturday, April 2, 2005It has rained and rained and rained! Over 14 inches! Today it’s sunny and cool. Maybe we’ll have a break from the rain for a few days! π ———-I’m anxious to go on the cruise we just planned! I know, it’s not till October, but hey it’s giving me something to look forward to, right? π ———-Alex has turned into a CRY BABY!! It started a couple of weeks ago and I just thought it was due to the fact he was so sick. As far as I know he’s all better, so why is this occurring! I’ve been so spoiled with Drew and the first year of Alex’s life. They were just so good! I’m not used to having a baby cry, cry, cry. AND Alex has gotten where he’ll throw his hands in the air and land chest down on the floor! A major temper tantrum! So we put him in his room until he stops crying each time this occurs! It’s very tiring, but it should work. I think! He’s also going through separation anxiety. He cries when I leave the room. He cried when I drop him off at school or church. At home I can’t even sit him down in front of his toys without him crying! Where’s the parenting handbook when I need it? π I’m gonna go do some research and see if there’s anything else we can do to help this crying bit! ———-Drew’s back and he says he missed me! I missed him too! He and his grandparents went to visit his Great Grandfather (PawPaw) who fell and broke some ribs and his heart is starting to fail. Drew said, “I don’t want him to die because then MawMaw will be alone and she said she doesn’t want to be alone! She’ll have to get a new house or move in with Candi or something!” He also said, “PawPaw’s blood is orange, because he smokes. If he’d quit smoking his blood would be red again, but he’s too old to quit smokin’!” At the baseball game tonight, he looked at Nick and said, “You know, I really don’t care for Arkansas!” It was so funny! We were playing Arkansas. π Friday, April 1, 2005Today Rob took off work and we spent the day together. We went to the movies and say Hitch, which was SO good! It’s probably going to be one of those movies that I could watch over and over and never get sick of! I loved it! We also went looking for furniture for the boys rooms. π ———-I miss the A-master! LOL! He’ll be home tomorrow. My house will be back to normal…well as normal as it gets! LOL! π Posted 4/7/2005 at 10:51 PM

AHHHH!! LOL! Ok! I’m trying to be loyal to Macintosh products, because I AM a loyal Mac user and I love them! So I’m trying to use Lifli Software written for Macs called iBlog. I’ve used it before, but wasn’t as formiliar with CSS and stuff. Anyway, I decided to try it out again, but of course I have to make everything complicated so I decide to try different templates that I downloaded from another iBlog user. It ended up being very complicated to change, so I really hope you like it! LOL! I have a 3 week trial, before I have to pay for the software so I’ll be blogging at this ADDRESS until further notice! Thanks!
