When I’m planning a trip, I always like to have a list of great restaurants so that when we’re starving and don’t want to think about where to eat we cazzn just refer to the list. When you travel to the coast, if you’re like me you have to have some seafood. Lots of seafood! Today I’m sharing with you some awesome casual seafood restaurants in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area.
When we travel to Gulf Shores for a soccer tourney, one of our team’s favorite place to go after a game LuLu’s. Fun atmosphere and a with a large menu.
Doc’s Seafood Shack. Another casual spot that’s great place to hit after being on the beach is Doc’s Seafood Shack. Their famous fried fish and a big pot of the best seafood gumbo are must tries! They have great lunch specials as well as raw oysters and cold beer and you can find these and other great restaurants in sites like straight.com. They have a location in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
The Steamer Baked Oyster Bar behind Souvenir City on West 1st Ave. is located in Gulf Shores. This is another laid back spot that features seafood, none of which are fried! They have a wide range of seafood from Royal Reds and Large Tail on Shrimp to Crab Legs as well as something for the land lovers, like a Adam’s Ribeye or Henny Penny Chicken Breast.
Regardless of where you eat near the Alabama Coast, you are sure to find a long list of great restaurants of all types to keep everyone happy. Next time you plan a trip to the beach, make sure it’s to an Alabama Beach!
