Back again for last year’s Travel Summary, rounding up all of our travels in one spot with links to the posts that share the stories and pictures.
While putting this together, I went back and forth on whether the day trips should count, since I don’t think I’ve consistently included them before. And then there’s the question of my kids’ trips. I honestly don’t know. How would you handle it?
January
The year started off on a cruise with our niece Abi and her friend. Read about it>>>New Years Cruise – Carnival Liberty

Alex went on a ski trip with his buddies. I think this was their 2nd or 3rd year to do this. 1st year to go to North Carolina instead of Gatlinburg, TN. No pics to show for it, but I image it looks something like this.

February
Rob and I made a couple trips to Montgomery to see our granddaughter as she was in the NICU for a few days. Read about it here.

March
Rob had a work trip to Kansas City.

April
Rob had a conference in Henderson, NV. We enjoyed time there as well as Las Vegas. Posts from this trip.

Drew had a trade show in Toronto and at the airport he got to meet the General Manager and President of Baseball Operations for the Atlanta Braves is Alex Anthopoulos.

May
Quick trip to Atlanta for Braves Game. I mentioned that here.

Another quick trip, but this time to Montgomery to see two of our pastors get ordained. The post where I talked about it is here.

June
Rob flew into Boston to meet up with a couple of his buddies for baseball road trip. The baseball games they took in were at Boston, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Detroit. All of these were new MLB parks for Rob except Boston.

July
Took a day trip to Smiths Station, AL (about 40 minutes from us) to see one of Rob’s good friends who is a pastor at a church there.

Another day trip, this time to Union Springs, AL for a wedding of one of the sweet boys that Rob mentored and watched grow up through scouts and D group.

Drew and Rob went Atlanta for the All-Star a once in a lifetime kind of trip. A little more about it here.

At the end of July, we took a weekend trip to Huntsville, Tx to visit Rob’s Dad.

August
No travels this month.
September
Weekend trip to Gulf Shores, AL to visit our former pastor and his wife. I talked more about that here.

A couple weeks later we rode up to Peachtree City, GA with our friends for a Styx concert. Here‘s my weekly post that included this quick little jaunt.

October
In this month, we were gone for 20 days. We flew into San Fran and spent a few days before getting on a cruise ship for 16 day cruise threw the Panama Canal. I am still working on those posts. Hope to start sharing those soon!

November
We took another quick trip to Texas. This time it was just before Thanksgiving for my Uncle Brad’s funeral. More deets here .

December
I’ve never included this, but if I’m going on the rule to include day trips, it needs to be included. This is our annual trip to Lanette, AL to the Christmas tree farm. More pics here

The next day we got into the Christmas spirit with a trip to Atlanta with my in-laws and met some of our friends up there to see For King and Country at the Fox theater.
My Weekly Post

We took our nieces and nephews on their Christmas present outing.

A couple days after Christmas we headed to Tampa for Elly’s Senior Cruise. I’ll link that here once I share that post.

When I look back, it’s the mix of long trips, short visits, and everything in between that made this year special. Each one added a little something to the year. I’m grateful I decided to include them all.
