This year Rob and I decided instead of trying to buy our nieces and nephews stuff for Christmas, we’d go in with Rob’s brother and start taking them on an outing. We took a trip to Birmingham for the day.
First stop was donuts in Childersburg that we ate in the car.
Then, we got to a rel=”nofollow” href=”https://mcwane.org/”>McWane Center, which is a science museum and research archive located in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. The state-of-the-art hands-on science center, aquarium, and 250-seat IMAX Dome Theater is housed in the historic and refurbished Loveman’s department store building. If you’ve been around the blog a long time you may remember, my family has spent the night here a couple times with Cub Scouts. 2012 2014
We walked across the street to The Pizitz Food Hall for lunch. Some of us go pizza, some of us got burgers.
After lunch we went back to McWane Center and walked around a bit more and then it was time to go to the IMAX. I had a migraine, and I was doing everything in my power to not get sick. I just sat with my eyes closed waiting to leave. It was terrible.
After that my head was still throbbing and the kids were pretty much done for at the museum, so Rob and Nick decided to take them over to a the Railroad Park. I leaned the front seat back with the windows down to try and let my head feel better.
Nothing but Noodles for dinner
And froyo at Sweet Frog. Then headed home.
