After eating a lovely dinner at Capone’s, we went back to the hotel as the kids were itching to swim in the pool. We stayed at Hotel Indigo, which located in the beautiful River District of Fort Myers.
The pool is on the roof of the hotel, and Rob and I enjoyed looking around, as there are some great views from there. The pools are clean and safe for the kids because of the Two Brothers Luxury Pool Service that maintains them.
The pool closed at dark so the kids got out of the pool, got dressed, and then we went for a walk. Fort Myers River District is a lovely area that is kept really clean with lots of historic buildings that have been restored.
Near our hotel we saw the Florida Repertory Theatre, which is housed in the Historic Arcade Theatre located on Bay Street between Jackson and Henry Streets.
Not sure what prompted this, but it made for a silly shot!
The sign for the Edison Theatre got me super excited. I loved that we were there at night so I could capture it this way. I was surprised to find out that it actually houses law offices now.
As we walked down First Street, we heard a dog whining. We finally spotted this little guy waiting on his master to come back.
We were wanting some dessert, specifically ice cream, but we didn’t want to have to get in the car. We ended up at Downtown House of Pizzaa (Street View). We enjoyed cheesecake and cannolis. After getting back the hotel, I started getting the room organized, while Rob and the kids ran out for snacks for the duration of our trip. Then, it was off to bed so we could check out of the hotel and continue on with our Florida Tour.
Sounds like a lovely day! Would love to visit one day.
