This month I was happy about: getting some time away on a week long vacay! Our new neighbors are just lovely! I am so so excited and thankful to have good neighbors again.
This month I was sad about:
♥ ♥ = Love it! A must read/see!
♥ = Really good! Highly recommend.
✓ ✓ = Good, not great
✓ = Not much to talk about
X = Awful. Total waste of time
TV Shows I watched were:
The Baker and the Beauty (ABC) ♥
Dead to Me (Netflix) ✓ Only made it to Episode 3 in Season 2, but plan to watch more when I’m in the mood.
Sweet Magnolias (Netflix) ♥ Definitely getting better
Rob and I watched:
AGT ✓ – This show is good, but it’s so long and I watch it because my family likes it. I could totally do without it.
Stranger Things (Netflix) – ✓ ✓ Rob and I got all caught up on this. Season 3 was pretty darn good. Waiting patiently for next season…next year. Alex loves this show and was so excited to know we watched it.
The Office (Netflix) – ✓ – Rob and I are watching this on Netflix. We just started season 3. I just don’t get the hype!
Last Man Standing (reruns) – ✓ ✓ Rob watches reruns when nothing else is on.
Outerbanks (Netflix) – ♥ we binged watch this in one day, not because it was THAT good, but because we were having a day of total laziness. It was great!
Things I read:
Book of Acts. I’m doing a Bible Study through HPUMC. Highly recommend!
Podcasts I listened to:
I actually did not listen to any podcasts this month. Kinda burnt out with the same ole, same ole. Would love some suggestions!
My favorite song this month was:
What I remember about work was: getting my first set of Performance Reviews written for my 2 employees at work. This last year I started supervising 2 staff members in my department. May/June is the end of our review year, so this was my first time getting to review my staff. I was honestly dreading it, but it wasn’t too bad and they are great workers so that made it easier.
Something I learned this month was: that Acts tells the stories of the true beginning of the Christian church after Jesus died.
A friend and I: stood outside in her front yard while our husbands talked scouts. We caught up and it was so nice. I miss my friends.
My favorite pic that I took was:
The favorite thing I cooked was: probably the spare ribs.
Drew was: working from home, which he has really enjoyed. He will get to continue doing that until he graduated in August.
Alex was: (deep down) excited to get a job and having that checked off his list.
Rob was: busy still going into the office. He and Alex started reading How to Be a Man: Pursuing Christ-centered Masculinity by Rick Burgess (From Rick and Bubba radio show) and Andy Blanks (who was a speaker at our church’s Youth Winter Retreat a few years ago). They are starting a Zoom study with some other Dads and their sons that are similar age of Alex.
The thing I’ll remember most from this month was: probably the vacation last week. We are calling that our last “family trip” because Drew will be graduating and moving out soon. Hopefully he will get a job and things just change when a kid moves out and is starting his own life.
Look back at last month.
