My favorite moments of 2013: ================ [January] Over MLK weekend, we went to the mountains with the S family and stayed in their cabin. So. much. fun! ================ [February] Rob, Alex, and I attended our family Church Retreat for the 1st time. While we were there, Drew was also there with the youth. Drew played in his first season at Jr. Varsity Soccer.

This Thanksgiving was a quiet one. With Rob’s Mom and Step Dad visiting Grandma in Florida and Rob’s sister living in Oklahoma now, it was just the 4 of us along with Rob’s brother, Nick. I managed to cook way too much of everything, but that’s ok. It was so nice to have running water and a floor and countertop. I’ll be posting pics soon. Anyway, the menu consisted of: Green Beans Apple Cornbread Stuffing Praline Sweet Potatoes Fried Cajun Turkey by Rob (in the oil-less fryer) Gravy (similar to Popeye’s) Apple Pecan Bars

Saturday We left Saturday morning at crack-o-dawn to head down to get Drew. Drew was in Orange Beach, AL for a soccer tourney. He had gone down earlier in the week since it was spring break to enjoy some time on the beach before his games began on Saturday. So that was about a 4 hour detour. We stayed for both games. Got to have some Shrimp Po-boys at the Shrimp Basket. We got out of town about 3ish. Spring Break traffic was horrific, so we ended up going a different way. We had planned to drive straight through, but…
