I went through all 11,000 pics I took last year! I narrowed it down to about 90 something and then had to choose from there. It was fun and a bit challenging. This week over at I Heart Faces our challenge is to share your story of summer through pictures. So here you have it. This summer didn’t have any big trips or much exciting. We managed to do little things here and there so that it wasn’t totally boring! Summer started with sis-in-law’s graduation from SCAD Atlanta Then off to see a friend in North Alabama. The wedding pic I chose is from my wedding, which was way back when and hence, taken with film. The scanned pics aren’t that great, but this is one that people love including me. I never planned to put cake in his face, but it’s just one of those things. As you can see, he got me back pretty good! Original – “Pretty In Pink” Some slight improvements. Didn’t want to do anything drastic because the picture composition is so nice.

Original – “Sweet Grin” Here’s my “fixed” version. Using CS4, I played with curves to help with the lighting issue. Then I unmasked the eyes and used the dodge tool to bring out the color. I then used an action called Glam Bur v.1 to help soften the picture. I cloned out some of the little red marks on his face.

Original – “Little Precious” Here’s my “fixed” version. Using CS4, I played with curves to help with the exposure. Then, I unmasked the eyes and used the dodge tool. I increased the vibrance to bring out the color. I then used Lens Blur along with a dark vignette on the pic excluding her face. I cloned out some of the little red marks on her face.
