I have always just included a list of shows/movies/podcasts/music that we enjoy on my end of month summary posts. However, this year I decided to break it out into its own post like many other bloggers do. This post took WAY too long to put together, that’s why its so late getting posted. I’m not sure I love the organization of it, so I might change that up for next month. I was thinking of grouping shows by network maybe… Yes, we watch a ton of TV, but its our favorite thing to do. It helps that we watch everything…

This last Monday we watched Drew’s last Jazz Band concert. I videoed all their songs and thought I’d share them with you. This is the program for the night. Drew is in the Jazz “A” Band. Salsa on the Side Don’t Know Why A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square The Pink Panther Sir Duke Cruisin’ for a Bluesin’

Late Saturday night, I sat at my Granny’s bar shuffling through songs on my laptop from Bob Dylan, ZZ Top, and Eric Clapton. I just couldn’t find a song for Dad’s slideshow that I’d made for his memorial service. Drew sat across from me. We laughed at some of the choices, like “Blowing in the Wind” and “Death is Not the End”. I told Drew I was going to look at the Beatles, because surely they have a song that would feel right. “There’s “Hey Jude” or “Yesterday”. Mmmmm…no, I’m gonna keep lookin’,” I told him. Then, I saw it.…

I love living in a college town. Every weekend there is always something to do. We actually don’t take advantage of that fact enough, but I after a recent date with Rob to a UPC event it made me cognizant of the fact that I should be looking at the calendar to see what’s going on. So one night while looking I noticed that Diamond Rio was coming to town. For 5 bucks, I could go see this band that I’ve loved since high school. It was a great concert. I walked straight over to the Student Union right after…

Well, I’m quickly getting further and further behind on my writing here. I never got to write about the Bon Jovi & Daughtry Concert. I’ll have to say it was awesome concert. Sound quality was pretty flawless for Daughtry. When Bon Jovi came out the sound wasn’t as good, but wasn’t bad like many people we’ve seen. The bass wasn’t pumping. In fact there wasn’t hardly any bass! I didn’t enjoy the concert as much either because Philips Arena was HOT and just felt blah! I had wondered if this concert would top Def Leppard and the answer to that…

Appetizer What was your favorite cartoon when you were a child? Didn’t really like cartoons, but I watched a little bit of the Smurfs. Soup Pretend you are about to get a new pet. Which animal would you pick, and what would you name it Weimaraner and as far as a name, I would have to ponder that with the family and come up with something really good. Salad On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how much do you enjoy getting all dressed up for a special occasion? When in the mood 9. When not a 3.…

For Valentine’s Day, Rob took me to see Van Halen the Sunday before Valentine’s Day. It was a surprise and I thought it was so sweet of him to think of that. Before the concert, we ate at Ted’s Montana Grill and it was really good. The opening act was kind of an odd choice, Ky-Mani Marley. Setlist 01. You Really Got Me 02. I’m the One 03. Runnin’ With the Devil 04. Romeo Delight 05. Somebody Get Me a Doctor 06. Beautiful Girls 07. Dance the Night Away 08. Atomic Punk 09. Everybody Wants Some 10. So This Is…
