Original I did 5 or 6 edits of this photo, but I wanted to post something “out of the box.” So here you have it! This is a texture layer added to make it look like a strip of film. Not my favorite, but something different.

This is my oldest niece, Arial. She’s peeking through the bars on the playground. She’s one of the few kids I’ve reminded to smile who didn’t give me that crazy, fake smile. I think her smile is precious, but maybe I’m just a bit bias. 🙂 Be sure to check out I ♥ Faces to see all the other beautiful faces that have been entered into the contest!

This week over at I Heart Faces our challenge is to share your story of summer through pictures. So here you have it. This summer didn’t have any big trips or much exciting. We managed to do little things here and there so that it wasn’t totally boring! Summer started with sis-in-law’s graduation from SCAD Atlanta Then off to see a friend in North Alabama. We did some fun crafts. Lots of Lego playin’. 1st Boy Scout Court of Honor 1st year of swimming lessons for Alex. Summer nights in Auburn Flat top hair cut for Drew. Drew goes to…

I love taking pics at the beach, so I have tons of beach pics. I really had a hard time deciding. This pic is from Alex’s first trip to the beach. This was off the Georgia coast on Cumberland Island. Even more interesting…this was taken with a point and shoot camera! Be sure to check out I ♥ Faces to see all the other beautiful faces that have been entered into the contest!

Here’s my sports entry. I have 1,000s of soccer pics, but I decided to post one of these from the equestrian show that I did a few months ago. I love this one. Be sure to check out I ♥ Faces to see all the other beautiful faces that have been entered into the contest!

Here’s Johnny Girl at the old ballpark. Finding an old Mountain Dew bottle near the fence kept her busy for nearly an hour! She loved it. Be sure to check out I ♥ Faces to see all the other beautiful faces that have been entered into the contest!

The wedding pic I chose is from my wedding, which was way back when and hence, taken with film. The scanned pics aren’t that great, but this is one that people love including me. I never planned to put cake in his face, but it’s just one of those things. As you can see, he got me back pretty good! This weeks posting is called “Let’s Hear It For The Boys!” in honor of Father’s Day, since I have 2 sons this was quite difficult to choose. I ended up going with this cute one of my older son back when he was in Kindergarten. This was after “fun night” at school with his best friend. Their faces are painted orange and blue, because we live in the city of the greatest university on Earth. 🙂 Be sure to check out I ♥ Faces to see all the other beautiful faces that have been entered into the contest!

This weeks posting is called “Let’s Hear It For The Boys!” in honor of Father’s Day. I chose this picture because it’s such a great tribute to Rob and the great father that he is. Here he’s laying in the ‘kiddy’ area with Alex. This pic has always been a favorite of mine. Be sure to check out I ♥ Faces to see all the other beautiful faces that have been entered into the contest! This was taken at Schlitterbahn

Original – “Sweet Grin” Here’s my “fixed” version. Using CS4, I played with curves to help with the lighting issue. Then I unmasked the eyes and used the dodge tool to bring out the color. I then used an action called Glam Bur v.1 to help soften the picture. I cloned out some of the little red marks on his face.

Be sure to check out I ♥ Faces to see all the other beautiful faces that have been entered into the contest! This is my niece who has amazing eyes. Both her and her sister are so beautiful and I’m lucky enough to play with them while clicking the shutter button! 🙂

Looking back through July pictures, I started thinking of the traditions that we’ve had. Back when Rob was in school, the weekend connected to 4th of July was really our only opportunity to go to Texas to visit my family. So we did that for several years, even after he graduated. This first picture is of Drew when he and I flew to Texas without Rob, because we were going for an extended stay. 2001 Here he is with my cousins at the lake. 2001 This is from 2002 when we went to Texas and spent a day at the…
