    Second July 4th Trip 2011::Blue Ridge, GA {Day 3}

    If you missed Day 1 or Day 2. Sunday we started by hiking up to the highest point in Georgia at Brasstown Bald. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and then decided to go find the Swinging Bridge which crosses over the Toccoa River. This was a very cool, very hidden spot. Great place to camp, swim, tube, kayak, etc! For dinner we ate at Papa’s Pizza-to-Go Buffet, which had hot, high quality pizza. Then, we did something we have never done before and that’s go to a drive-in movie. The one we went to was in Blue Ridge and it’s…

    Photo Walk {Atlanta: Oakland Cemetery}

    Last Saturday I took a trip up to Atlanta for my first photo walk. We met up at Oakland Cemetery. It’s quite a large cemetery currently at 48 acres. There are several sections of the cemetery Original 6 acres, Confederate section, New Jewish section, Black section, and Potter’s field. I made it to 3 sections, I believe. I would really like to go back and see the areas that I missed. Front entrance. (If you ever go here, DO NOT park in the parking lot that sits near this sign. Park inside the cemetery. There were 2 people from our…

One game tomorrow before lunch and we’re headed home. I need to get busy editing from the last photo session I did and get that…

    Atlanta Weekend with the Family

    I haven’t had a chance to write about last weekend. We headed up to Atlanta for the weekend. We stayed at The Westin Peachtree Plaza, which was lovely. The views from our room were awesome! We stayed really busy and got tons of walking in. Drew enjoyed playing in the Olympic rings of water at Centennial Park, while Alex moped after getting 16 drops of water on him. Here’s Drew standing in front of the Olympic rings. The tall cylindrical building in the background is our hotel, where we stayed. It was too bad I didn’t lose a couple pounds,…

    Last Minute Roadtrip

    Here’s what we did on our trip over Memorial Day. Friday at lunch Rob kept asking me what I wanted to do over the weekend. I didn’t really have any ideas. He mentioned maybe go to Savannah. I said that sounded fun since that’s somewhere he’s always wanted to take me and I’ve always wanted to go! Well, I had to come home and first get a sub for sunday school. I did that, but still wasn’t sure if we’d go because I looked on the internet for hotels and there weren’t very many. So when he got home at…
