Here we are for another trip journal. This is another day in Vegas. If you missed my previous posts from our Desert trip check those out >>>> Desert Trip That morning we woke up and decided to try one of the restaurants in our hotel. Food was really good. I had the Chilaquiles for the first time and Rob had the Best Eggs Benedict. After that we explored the Palazzo and Venetian shopping areas. Just amazing that as you’re shopping your surrounded by the man-made canals that wind through these resort areas. Really fun candy/dessert shop. Really cool view from…

Thursday, Rob, Drew, 2 other friends of ours, and I went to Atlanta to see Cheap Trick and Aerosmith. Aerosmith’s plays list could have been better, but over all great concert. Last night Rob, Drew, and I had a date night in Atlanta to see Tran-Siberian Orchestra. If you’ve never heard of them, you actually probably have heard a song or two of theirs, but don’t let the name fool you. They are not an orchestra, but an amazingly talented rock band that utilizes strings, polished vocal talent, and narration, along with a spectacular laser and pyrotechnics show. It was an amazing show, one of the best all-around performances I’ve ever seen. Great quality, sounds, lights, and pyro. See the Setlist here.

I love living in a college town. Every weekend there is always something to do. We actually don’t take advantage of that fact enough, but I after a recent date with Rob to a UPC event it made me cognizant of the fact that I should be looking at the calendar to see what’s going on. So one night while looking I noticed that Diamond Rio was coming to town. For 5 bucks, I could go see this band that I’ve loved since high school. It was a great concert. I walked straight over to the Student Union right after…

Well, I’m quickly getting further and further behind on my writing here. I never got to write about the Bon Jovi & Daughtry Concert. I’ll have to say it was awesome concert. Sound quality was pretty flawless for Daughtry. When Bon Jovi came out the sound wasn’t as good, but wasn’t bad like many people we’ve seen. The bass wasn’t pumping. In fact there wasn’t hardly any bass! I didn’t enjoy the concert as much either because Philips Arena was HOT and just felt blah! I had wondered if this concert would top Def Leppard and the answer to that…

I am SO pumped for the Jovi/Daughtry concert tomorrow night! Listening, reading some blogs, and getting even more excited. I’m wondering if it can top Def Leppard, which was THE best concert I’ve evah seen! We will see. I’ve put the set list for a recent concert under more, so Rob if you’re reading this before the concert and don’t wanna know don’t click down there 😉 Oh and a couple of the links above have the set list, so watch out!

For Valentine’s Day, Rob took me to see Van Halen the Sunday before Valentine’s Day. It was a surprise and I thought it was so sweet of him to think of that. Before the concert, we ate at Ted’s Montana Grill and it was really good. The opening act was kind of an odd choice, Ky-Mani Marley. Setlist 01. You Really Got Me 02. I’m the One 03. Runnin’ With the Devil 04. Romeo Delight 05. Somebody Get Me a Doctor 06. Beautiful Girls 07. Dance the Night Away 08. Atomic Punk 09. Everybody Wants Some 10. So This Is…

Last night was AWESOME! I’ve never enjoyed a concert as much as this one. Foreigner was great as usual and did an abbreviated show that we saw back in June. Styx was ok. Nothing too spectacular there and it was quite upsetting to Drew that they didn’t play Mr. Roboto. Def Leppard rocked the house! They were just amazing. Lights and camera work added to the music that brought goosebumps and lots of memories for me. It was touching to see Rick Allen, the one armed drummer, who played bare footed and didn’t miss a beat. By the 3rd or…
