    Back in January we got a killer deal for Cottonmouths Hockey game. They did the same deal earlier this month and its fun to take a quick drive to Columbus for some hockey and Waffle House. Our seats this time were even better, just behind the visiting team bench. Yeah, the Cottonmouth’s mascot, Boomer is really cool. It was also Super Mario Night, so the team wore special jerseys that they auctioned off after the game. It was Boy Scout Day. We sat right behind the Peoria Rivermen, the visiting team’s bench.     Rob got an email that the Columbus Cottonmouths were having a deal that included tickets for 4, 4 ball caps, and 4 All-Star breakfasts from Waffle House on Drew’s birthday. All for under $40! So we got up that day and took him shopping. He really wanted and needed new clothes so we told him he could have a certain amount of money to spend on clothes.     Day Trip to Columbus, Ga

    We live about 35 miles from Columbus, Ga and we used to travel there quite a bit to shop and for different places to eat. However, now that the Auburn-Opelika area has grown so much we really don’t have a need to go there like we used to. This past Sunday Alex had a friendly soccer game there, and it was so last minute we ended up having to get people to substitute for several church obligations we had, so just ended up heading over to Columbus after we had breakfast.     Saturday we dropped Drew off at a friend’s house as he would be riding up with another player for the 3rd game of state cup. The rest of us ventured over to Columbus, GA for part of a day.
