Christmas Eve day started off uneventful. Rob and Drew were out eating breakfast with Mr. Baird. I got up and ran to the mall for one last gift. It was absolutely monsooning outside. When I got home, I started wrapping presents and cleaning up for company that was coming over the next day. Christmas Eve and the day before, I was busy baking and cooking. In the late afternoon of Christmas Eve, Alex performed in our church’s children pageant. He was a shepherd (without a headdress for some reason). Our preachers welcoming us. Afterwards, we went home to eat the Christmas Eve meal that I had prepared was similar to what I did last year. Instead of doing green beans, I made baked beans. Christmas Eve day was fairly busy. Not as busy at the 2 days before, but still a little busier than I would have preferred. But like this entire Christmas season, for some reason, for us everything has been so different. I won’t go into all the reasons why, but it’s just been bizarr-o. As you can see Alex got his foot stuck Christmas Eve, while trying a new kind of cookie we had made for Santa. At first we tried to just squeeze it out. Then, we tried to take the back of the chair off. We were thinking we were going to have to break or saw part of the chair to get it out.
