    Early Anniversary Trip 2007::Charleston, SC & Savannah, GA

    This has been sitting in my draft box for too long. Just decided to go ahead and publish it. Please excuse any typos! Columbia, SC Wednesday 7/25- Left at 5:00 and headed to Columbia, SC. Stayed at the Sleep Inn Thursday 7/26 – Drove through Irmo, where we saw where Rob lived with his Dad and he was even able to find the house. Stopped at Carolina Cider Co. and got Peach Butter and 2 different types of cider. Yum! Drove through University of South Carolina.     Best concert ever…

    Last night was AWESOME! I’ve never enjoyed a concert as much as this one. Foreigner was great as usual and did an abbreviated show that we saw back in June. Styx was ok. Nothing too spectacular there and it was quite upsetting to Drew that they didn’t play Mr. Roboto. Def Leppard rocked the house! They were just amazing. Lights and camera work added to the music that brought goosebumps and lots of memories for me. It was touching to see Rick Allen, the one armed drummer, who played bare footed and didn’t miss a beat.     9 years old going on…

    14! Yes, that’s my older boy. Drew is such a teenager already. He’s got the attitude, the eye-rolling, the moodiness, and he’s nearing the hormone surges. He watches shows like The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Zoey 101 (who he’s in love with), and Drake and Josh (which is my favorite of the 3). He’s wearing deodorant and is to the point where he needs to learn to wash his face and start using products like Noxema and Cleaaisil.     Searching for answers

    Gosh, I think it’s been forevah since I’ve written! I’ve been drowning in work. I’m quickly getting burnt out, so I’m trying to get ahead and stay ahead so that I won’t feel so overloaded. Today was only the 3rd day of school, which is scary. It seems every year I become burned out quicker and quicker. I just keep thinking, I need to find something else to do. There’s a lot of great things about teaching, but I’m just not sure it’s what I’m meant to do. But then, I think about the summers off. Although they’re short, it’s…
