The past few months have been jam packed with so much! The times of lazy summer days are few and far between around here. Here’s what kept us busy…
End of the season handbell choir performance at church
All the high school graduation festivities
[Senior Sunday] [Graduation Day] [Grad Party at the Lake]
Rob and Drew spent a week out in Southern California
Memorial Day weekend tradition at Lake Martin
Alex went to Boy Scout Summer Camp.
Oh and we drove all the way to Tennessee to take boys up there and then went back at the end of the week to bring them back.
We went to our long time friend, and Drew’s boss’s wedding.
We took a trip to the West Coast and enjoyed our time in Cali, Oregon, and Washington. Posts about our trip listed here—>West Coast Road Trip
Drew had his wisdom teeth out. Here’s before and after pics
That same week, Alex was away for Sweat Week with our church
Drew started working at Publix at the beginning of the summer. Since he doesn’t work at the one closest to us, we hadn’t been by to visit him. We finally got over there one Saturday, when we dropped Alex off at a friends house that’s near there.
We also spent a date night at Piccolo listening to jazz with his high school friend, Jason.
Katniss still had a lot of free time on her hands to watch the world go by. Must be nice!
One Saturday night Rob and I went to Columbus to hear his Uncle and the band he’s in perform. Check out Soul Circus Cowboys if you’re into country music.
Drew went on a trip to the Tampa area with his girlfriend, Caitlyn, and her Mom the week before AUMB band camp started.
AUMB camp/tryouts started and Drew made the band and is doing really well with it.

Rob and I went over to campus to watch the AUMB practice.
Caitlyn & Drew at the AUMB band banquet the day before school started.
Katniss continued to loaf and make me wish I was a cat…sometimes.
I did find some time to learn and play Nines with Alex.
My building at work is being added on to in a big way.
Since our library is under construction we got to draw on a wall that will eventually go away. It was fun!
Rob flew up to Rochester, NY at the end of July for a 4 day training. I flew up a couple days later to meet him. We enjoyed spending time there. We spent one day in Niagra Falls in Toronto, Ontario. Look for more in upcoming posts about this trip.
Rob and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary at Live Oaks.
Summer was great, but I’m looking forward to cooler temps and football!
