Memories of the Month {8.2014}

By | August 30, 2014

Here’s the end of the month summary for August. Where has this year gone?
Memories of the Month - Here's a great idea for wrapping up the month with a set of questions to remember how your last month with. I love going back and reading through what happened throughout the years.

This month I was happy about: meh…I’m kind of indifferent to this question. Nothing really stood out to me for what I was happy about.

This month I was sad because of: the kids going back to school.

Something I accomplished this month was: …uhhh…don’t feel like I accomplished anything!

Status on being “healthy”: meh…haven’t stuck with it totally, but haven’t gained from last month. 🙂

Something new I did was: learned how to use Stumbleupon.com and so glad I did!

This year I’m going to rate the books & movies. Here’s my rating system:
♥ ♥ = Love it! A must read/see!
♥ = Really good! Highly recommend.
✓ ✓ = Good, not great
✓ = Not much to talk about
X = Awful. Total waste of time

Books I read were:
The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch ♥ ♥

Movies I watched were:
Smurfs &#10003 &#10003

TV Shows I watched were:
The Bachelorette
Bachelor in Paradise (Belch)
America’s Got Talent
SYTYCD

My favorite song this month was: A Sky Full Of Stars by Coldplay.

What I remember about work was: feeling like my hands are tied, which is not a good feeling when others are relying on you to help you do your job.

A lesson I learned this month was: it usually boils down to #1.

A friend and I: had lunch at Burger Fi and caught up on summer happenings.

My favorite pic (not previously posted) that I took was:

Band-O-Rama 2014

I cooked: lots of stuff. Check out my Weekly Menu.

The boys were: reluctant to go back to school, but have gotten into a grove and are doing pretty well. Drew’s class

My husband was: his typical volunteer-a-holic, but God love ’em. He’s great at it.

The thing I’ll remember most from this month was: just the overwhelming feeling of not wanting the kids to go back school this year.
