This time of year it can be a fun time to get baking and making treats, because of all of the Peeps, jelly beans, and Cadbury eggs that fill the stores. Easter is a time when lots of cute and creative treats that you can make with eggs, chicks, and bunnies can be made. We’re just a week away, so what are you planning to make?

Easter Sugar Cookies
Any sugar cookie recipe is a winner for family feasting, but they can be made extra sweet for Easter. Using bunny cookie cutters, or making your own Easter egg shaped cookies, you can cut them out to be any Easter shape that you like. Once they have cooled down, the best bit is decorating. Icing in pastel colors is a winner, as well as adding sprinkles, jelly beans, or mini-eggs.
Easter Oreo Bark
Is it even a holiday if you don’t make some kind of sweet bark to eat? All you need is:
~One pack of vanilla candy coating
~3/4 cup Easter (or regular) Oreos
~Chocolate eggs, M&Ms, or sprinkles, to decorate
All you need to do is to melt the package of candy coating in a pan on low heat. Make sure that you keep stirring until it is all melted. Then pour it onto a baking sheet that has been lined with baking parchment. Crush the Oreos and sprinkle them, along with the sprinkles and M&Ms, and other Easter candy you want to use. Pop it in the refrigerator, until set, and then break into pieces and enjoy.
Nest Cupcakes
You could make cute Easter cupcakes, all set out to look like nests. Choosing any cupcake recipe that you like, and a batch of buttercream frosting, will be your base. Then using desiccated coconut, shaved chocolate, and Easter treats like jelly beans or candy eggs, you can fill the top of the cupcakes to look like Easter nests.
Easter Egg Popcorn Bars
If you want something a little different, then how about gooey marshmallow popcorn bars? They are quick and simple to make, all you need is:
~10 oz marshmallows
~1/4 cup butter
~5 cups popcorn
~1 cup Easter candy (Cadbury mini-eggs or M&Ms, for example)
Line a baking tray with baking parchment, and then melt the marshmallows and butter in the microwave, until melted, blended, and smooth. Then stir in the popcorn, and gently fold in the Easter candy. Press it in the tray and leave to cool in the refrigerator. Once it has cooled, cut up into squares and enjoy!
