I wanted to write a quick post and share some pics of Drew’s girlfriend, Caitlyn’s graduation weekend.
The week before graduation Caitlyn and I went out and ended up doing 2 rounds of grad photos. Here’s a few of my favs…
For Caitlyn’s party our friends were nice enough to let her have it at their lake house. We got there early so we could start making the noodles. When we offered to help her with food for the party, Rob asked her if she could have any food she wanted what would it be. She of course answered with homemade cavatels! We agreed to do that since there be about 40 people and we typically make cavatels for 15 or so people at Christmas. Wouldn’t be out of the question. So Rob had actually started making the meatball and sauce a couple days before because we cook the meatballs in our sauce. We, however, weren’t interested in trying to make the noodles ahead of time, so we reserved Saturday before the party to make the cavatels.
Making cavatels is a family affair. Caitlyn’s grandparents were ready to jump in and help. Of course, Drew and Caitlyn wanted to help. Caitlyn’s grandmother made a delicious salad and we served garlic bread along with homemade cavatels, meatballs, and sauce.
Outside the guys and Caitlyn were busy setting up tents and prepping the party area. She did a beautiful job!
Photo booth complete with instax camera to take pics and add to Caitlyn’s photo album.
Caitlyn’s mom was in charge of the early snacks as well as decorations. She was tasked with making the decor really girly.
Cookie cake and tons of old and new photos draped from twine around the tents.
The party was great fun. I think Caitlyn really enjoyed it. I didn’t get many pics of the party, because that’s when we had to go back up to the house to boil all the noodles so we could eat.
The next day was graduation. I enjoyed watching Caitlyn as well as some of my former student workers.
Bryce Brown graduated!
Caitlyn, we are so proud of you for all that you have accomplished during your 4 years here at Auburn. I have loved getting to watch you mature and grow not only as a student worker, but as the girlfriend of my son! Now go get that master’s degree! 😉
Flickr is currently down, so when it gets back up, I’ll link to all the photos from that weekend.
