I feel like these weeks lately are flying faster than normal and I continue to get further and further behind on blogging. Oh well…doing what I can, when I can. 🙂
Here’s last week’s Weekly highlights (May 8th-14th, 2023)…
Tuesday
Alex sent me this pic of a strawberry milkshake he made at work. It looked so yummy.
During finals week, these little squishy ‘stress’ tigers got hidden throughout the library. I found one that never got found. I left it there.
Thursday
These 2 came over and made stir fry for dinner. They made enough for an army!
I had texted Drew that he had some mail, so ended up coming over and eating with us. These are the moments of life I love most right now. Caitlyn had left that day for a bachelorette trip for a friend of hers so she couldn’t join us.
The kids sat down after dinner and started watching the Game Show Network. They did that for a while and then they got on their phones and started coming up with their own trivia and talking about company logos. Rob ended up joining us and we bounced questions off each other. It was such a fun time together.
Saturday
Friday Alex, Rob, and I loaded up the car after work and headed to Baton Rouge for the weekend. Saturday we spent the morning with Rob’s dad. We went to Chimes for lunch.
Rob’s cousin’s son got married.
After the wedding we went over near LSU’s campus for some Torchy’s tacos.
Sunday
Sunday we went to church and got to see the newlyweds. After that we went out to eat with Rob’s aunt and uncle before heading back home
We saw this Ed Sheeran trailer on the way home. He had been in Houston the night before and was headed to Florida for next weekend.
That was so cool to see the Ed Sheeran trucks!
The wedding looks lovely! Those squishy tigers are so cute and what a fun little surprise during finals week.
How cool to see Ed Sheeran’s van or truck or RV. Can’t tell for sure which it is. We used to see some of the Nascar drivers’ cars on trailers passing through El Paso and heading for Phoenix. That was fun.
Love that the kids come over and cook for you. Still waiting for that to happen over here. I seem to do all the cooking for all the occasions. PC is very good to pick up Taco Bell or Panda Express, though. So I really can’t complain too much.
We are headed out of town for the weekend. Even though it will be a whirlwind trip to Austin, it will be nice to get away. Glad you guys were able to attend the wedding. What a pretty bride!!
That milkshake is making me hungry! Looks delish!
