Hope everyone who celebrates the day is having the most romantic time evah! I’m sitting here figuring out what I’m going to cook for dinner feeling sorry for myself. 🙂
And for Monica, Rob and I don’t celebrate the day basically because he has always hated the day. It’s a commercialized holiday that he used to spend the evening stressing out over the plans that didn’t turn out the way he had planned. We decided that we would celebrate it the last weekend in March or the first weekend in April every year, but we never really do that either. And even though we made that mutual decision, I still spend the day being envious of my coworkers who are showered with beautiful gifts and nights out on the town and blah blah blah!
But regardless, I hope your day has been lovely.
a lot of men feel that way, and i can see how they are pressured into buying the perfect gift flowers etc. but you know…your hubby probably makes each day special for you!
Oh, that’s sad… for Rob that he feels so much pressure to make things perfect, and for you that you don’t get to celebrate at all, even if it is less than perfect. Kevin and I went light this year. No gifts, just cards (and he got me some gerber daisies – my favorite) and we stayed home and made a fancy dinner together. Nothing fancy.
I hope you do get to celebrate at the end of March!
