End of August into early September brought a rhythm of celebration, quiet joys, and everyday beauty. These snapshots mark the moments that made me pause and smile.

I use the Lapse app (a photo-sharing app designed to mimic the experience of using a disposable camera, where you take photos that develop hours later.). Each day I try to get a shot of something unique to that day or just something that catches my eye. I snapped this on my way home.

Band-o-rama is such a festive kickoff to fall—an energizing showcase of high school marching bands from all around the region. This is Auburn High.

28 years of love, laughter, and legacy. Rob and I celebrated our anniversary surrounded by the beauty of the Botanic.

Sunday lunch with family gave me a sweet moment to hold my girl after I finished eating. She loves selfies with her LyLy.

Spotted these in the backyard growing off of a tree that was cut down back in December.

Celebrated Grandparents Day with LA at her daycare on Friday—ice cream all around, though she’s still in the no-popscicle club for now!

We checked her out and brought her home. She hung out with me for a little over an hour. I didn’t have toys she could play with so we brought out the ole soccer ball, which she found entertaining.

Saturday I went to campus with Drew, Caitlyn, and LA and hung out. AFter they left, I went ahead into the stadium and took a load off.

The game was fun. Night games are the best.

From family hugs to stadium lights, it’s the simple things that stay with me. Grateful for the memories tucked into these days.

It looks like you’ve had some happy grandparenting moments!
Grandparents’ Day looks so fun! I love the shot of the band with the sun going down. That was a good one! I hope you have a great week!
Such a fabulous sounding couple of weeks. Happy belated anniversary!
This post feels so warm and real! The little details about LA are adorable, and the stadium memories bring back fond times. Great to read about simple joys.
