Last Tuesday after work, we headed towards Texas, planning to spend the night in Shreveport to break up the trip since its a 12 hour drive. We ended up having a delay when Google Maps told us to take a detour near Selma. We went over some railroad tracks and ended up going over a pot hole that gave us a flat tire. + I’m going to share about Caitlyn’s baby shower soon, but late last week, I made some Gluten Free mini-pies for that. + Saturday night, we brought the crib/mini crib and mattress over to Drew and Caitlyn’s house and they put the mini-crib together. + Sunday, we had the great opportunity to go with Drew & Caitlyn to a 4d Ultrasound. + We went to the Men’s basketball game exhibition game on Friday night. Big win and seeing good things for our team. + Wednesday afternoon I had to run to Big Lots and the sunset was gorgeous. + Sunday night, dinner at Walk-Ons with Rob discussing the big week ahead. + Wednesday night, Drew and I went to see Straight No Chaser at the Gogue. + One night, I was at Walmart late getting some stuff for Caitlyn’s baby shower. I found this book that goes with her shower theme; “Cutie Pie” and I had to get it.
+ Rob and I went over to Drew & Caitlyn’s house to see the nursery so far. We ended up coming back to watch the Auburn vs Kentucky game and having pizza for dinner there too. + We went to see our niece play flag football. It was so exciting. She caught 2 touchdown passes. And the sunset was gorgeous that night. + At work, I’ve been in a 6 week pilot program of a leadership course. We gave feedback on how to make each class better. We just finished up and we got a certificate and pin. Excited for that program to launch for the rest of the university. + Katniss in the sun. + Friday night, Drew and Caitlyn threw their 2nd annual Halloween party. + I got these flowers at Trader Joe’s when we were in Atlanta the week before. + Monday the 30th was my birthday. 1st photo is of the new water bottle I got from Drew and Caitlyn and my new Apple Watch 10 from Rob. + Rob and I went to lunch at Amsterdam that day and I got the steak, so delish! + Later in week, our delivery for our new bedroom suit came in. + Empty bedroom ready for the new furniture. + The next weekend, Rob and I had a little getaway to Atlanta for an Atlanta United game. We spent the night and enjoyed the next day in Atlanta. Fun fun!

+ We have been working to clear out Alex’s old room and make into a nice guest bedroom as well as a place he can stay when he needs to. We got rid of the blue walls and did a nice neutral color that we already have in part of the house, as well as crown molding. + My boys at the AU vs Arkansas game. + We are working to get Alex’s old room cleared out. The last thing we had to remove was this old entertainment center, that was only in there since he hasn’t been living here. + We were showing someone around campus. We were standing on campus at near the Toomer’s trees. I noticed this red ark in the middle of Magnolia Street near Southeastern, and started walking closer to get a picture. Then I saw the guy up top who ended up driving it to the front of the bar Southeastern. Never found out the purpose, but I guess more than anything it was an attention getter for that Thursday night (which is party night for a lot of college kids). + Sunrise walking into work. + We went to the Braves game Friday…
+ Band-O-Rama in Opelika + 1st football game Auburn University vs. Alabama A&M – What a but kickin’ that was! + I was finally able to sit on the floor and file down Kayleigh’s nails since surgery. + We celebrated our 27th anniversary at Lucy’s. They brought out this flaming candle with our dessert. + Septm 1st was Bigsby’s birthday, 5 years old!
+ Saturday we went to the lake for a few hours to meet up with some friends and they took us on a nice boat ride on Lake Martin. + We went by Pirate Island while exploring on the boat. + Their dog was fun. + Sunday I was glad that Alex and Madison came for lunch and hung out with us. + Saturday before going to the lake, my church had a Women’s Ministry Kick-off brunch, which was so lovely.
Pretty chill week. Not a lot of photos to share at least… + Kayleigh just chillin’ + Rob was gone at the end of the week and so were Drew & Cailtyn, so I went over and took care of Bigsby + Airfyer veggies and pork chops for the win!!
Still playing catch up…story of my life 🙂 + Yaki bowl, which is a Mongolian grill, finally opened and it is so good! Alex, Rob, and I went the day we got back from our cruise. + Lots of veggies harvested from the garden when we got back! + And pretty flowers + Rob and I went to visit our new nephew (bottom R) and the 2nd newest nephew (bottom L).

Here’s week 28 highlights. + Dinner with our ‘adopted’ Army son, before he heads off to his next training location. + This cute little lizard hides on the walk way and often pops out and startles me. + Celebrated Rob’s birthday with some Italian. + Happy to report Katniss was located in my neighbor’s yard. Not sure what happened, but glad she’s home…hoping she doesn’t disappear again. + Love this color of tomatoes.
Yeah, I feel like posting these weekly updates, my life is pretty boring.
