    + We were showing someone around campus. We were standing on campus at near the Toomer’s trees. I noticed this red ark in the middle of Magnolia Street near Southeastern, and started walking closer to get a picture. Then I saw the guy up top who ended up driving it to the front of the bar Southeastern.     + Band-O-Rama in Opelika + 1st football game Auburn University vs. Alabama A&M – What a but kickin’ that was! + I was finally able to sit on the floor and file down Kayleigh’s nails since surgery. + We celebrated our 27th anniversary at Lucy’s. They brought out this flaming candle with our dessert. + Septm 1st was Bigsby’s birthday, 5 years old!

    + Saturday we went to the lake for a few hours to meet up with some friends and they took us on a nice boat ride on Lake Martin. + We went by Pirate Island while exploring on the boat. + Their dog was fun. + Sunday I was glad that Alex and Madison came for lunch and hung out with us. + Saturday before going to the lake, my church had a Women’s Ministry Kick-off brunch, which was so lovely.

Alex, Rob, and I went the day we got back from our cruise. + Lots of veggies harvested from the garden when we got back! + And pretty flowers + Rob and I went to visit our new nephew (bottom R) and the 2nd newest nephew (bottom L).

    Doing a little catch up in between vacations. Here’s week 28 highlights. + Dinner with our ‘adopted’ Army son, before he heads off to his next training location. + This cute little lizard hides on the walk way and often pops out and startles me. + Celebrated Rob’s birthday with some Italian. + Happy to report Katniss was located in my neighbor’s yard. Not sure what happened, but glad she’s home…hoping she doesn’t disappear again. + Love this color of tomatoes.

    + Our dining room table that was Rob’s gramma’s is always dressed. She always had the table pad and a table cloth on it. So it has hardly any imperfections on it.     + Rob and I ate at a newish restaurant called Conquistador. So good!! + Pretty eggs from my in-laws + Alex came over and we cooked lunch together! + Our former preacher who we call BC is moving to Fort Walton Beach, so we went to a going away party for him. + Kayleigh made me laugh so hard.     + On Tuesday nights, Opelika has Summer Swing. Each week a different band performs and the OHS band sells hot dogs and burgers. We went to see Kidd Blue and brought some chicken fingers from Foosackley’s and enjoyed an hour of music and food. + I don’t know why I keep adding my photos of pizza and salad. + My flowers in my container garden are blooming. + Samford Hall is just so beautiful.     + AHS grad party for our friends’ youngest son + Monday night, Rob was out of town for work so I went to Drew and Caitlyn’s house for dinner. Then we played Exploding Kittens + Last week in the sling!! + Kayleigh loves to play in the mud *eyeroll* + Thai food for the win! We love Savanh Kitchen in Auburn + Rob made what he called ‘redneck breakfast.’ I had promised to eat whatever he made. It was Conecuh smoked sausage and ramen noodles (without the broth).

    + Rob and I went to the Employee Recognition ceremony. This year it was at the Gogue for the 1st time. Rob got his 10 year pin. (not my photo) + This week we also had these northern lights, which I actually didn’t get to see. So this is not my photo, but I wanted to remember it. + These mini-salads are so easy and good.     + Auburn University grad party for 2 brothers who we watched grow in scouting. The party was on the rooftop of Map of Horton Hardgrave Hall. + At said party…there were so many cute Auburn desserts. I know I checked in a couple weeks ago, but between hiring season at work and physical therapy twice a week with home exercises everyday by the time I get home, I’m exhausted.     Week 2 after surgery… + Taking Kayleigh for walks most days + Lots of resting and watching TV. Rob worked from home till I went back to work on that Thursday. + Cooking is pretty impossible so I’ve been walking Rob through how I make stuff. I’m really learning how to communicate better with him through all of this. + Chicken ceasar salad from Staks.
