Today I’m thankful for life. It’s something that we take for granted when we really stop and think about it.

Today I’m thankful for the little things in life. The laughter of my children, the beautiful fall colors, the butterflies in the spring, the smell of homemade spaghetti sauce cooking, the silliness of Daisy, the comfort of my bed. All these are little pretty “insignificant” things, but they make me smile and happy even when things seem to be going all wrong.

I am thankful for the invention of the camera. I just think about all the things that my photographs help me remember. All the memories that I have stored up, that I can look back through thanks to a camera. Whether it be a Kodak 110 or a Canon Rebel, they all serve a purpose and the most important to me is preserving memories!

What great timing! Saturday night before going to bed, I could tell I had some drainage on my throat, but we didn’t have the type of medicine that would really help. Or so I thought. Consequently, Sunday I woke up with a raging sore throat. As Saturday went on I continued to feel not so great. Monday I went to work and ended up just staying at home after my lunch break. Monday night I had a hard time sleeping. Coughing, sore chest, head ache. So yesterday after getting the kids off to school I went to the local Doc…

I am so thankful for music. Music has always been such an integral part of my life. Music brings me up when I’m feeling down. It’s there for me to celebrate to. It’s there to take me back in time. It’s there all the time to dance to, to cry to, to laugh to!

Ok, so I took a couponing class that an acquaintance from my church has been teaching for awhile. [Not extreme couponing] It’s been all the buzz on Facebook. I was so excited when she scheduled a class that I could attend. I learned a few things, but since I had already done some extensive research, I knew a lot of what she said. One thing is just awareness! I’m looking at the weekly ads, so today when I went to get corn for Alex’s class feast, I decided to look around and see if I found anything worth while. Here’s…

I am thankful for all the great bloggers. They inspire me, motivate me, teach me.

I am thankful for my in-laws. I have 2 sets with Rob’s parents being divorced. One lives closer, one that lives farther, but ones that I see about the same amount. I’m happy that we don’t have a love-hate relationship like many in-laws experience. They are always supportive and loving.

I am thankful for the Food Network! I can’t tell you how much I have learned from the hours and hours that I’ve watched that channel. Rob can attest that if I’m at home and the TV is on, it’s probably on Food. From Rachel Ray to Paula Deen, I love ’em all.

I am thankful for our little humble abode. I love our house. I am thankful to have a roof over my head and one that is large enough to store all our “stuff.” All the little things we take for granted like heat, AC, running water. I am blessed.

Here’s a few pics of Daisy hanging out on the back deck. Enjoying the breeze Watching for squirrels and chipmunks Walking around to stay awake Gave in to the temptation…dozing

1. A nervous habit I have is shaking my leg or rocking front to back. 2. Something that makes me sad is being away from my family. 3. Today I am thankful for medication. 4. My favorite room in my house is the living room. 5. I can’t stand inconsiderate people. 6. If I had an extra $100 to spend on whatever I wanted today I would buy some new clothes. 7. The last person I hung out with was Rob.

I am thankful for our wonderful community of Auburn. Small town feel that is growing and thriving. Not much traffic, except on game weekends. A college community with so many awesome opportunities and resources.

Our den meeting tonight was really awesome. Just another reason we are so lucky to live in a college town. You really don’t realize all the resources that are available until you actually do live in a college town. One of our boy’s Dad, Dr. L, is a professor in Microbiology. We got to go to the building where he works. The first thing the boys did was put a glow in the dark powder on their hands. First, the boys got to see their hands glow. Then, they went to wash their hands to see how clean they really…

I am thankful for technology. As frustrating as it can be sometimes, it’s a way of life. Without technology I literally wouldn’t be where I am today!

One night not long ago, I got back to work after my dinner break and found this note on my computer. Usually I get “love notes” left for me on Facebook from my students, but this time I got one that I can keep in my office. Just another reason, I love my job.

I am thankful for my family near and far. I’m especially thankful for my Mom and Dad and my Grandparents. They are a great mixture of personalities and I’ve learned so much from them. I’ve got memories to cherish, for sure. And BTW, Granny, who’s my only living Grandparent, IS going to live forever! She can’t leave me.
