Once again I’m late getting this post up. So now that its December, here is your December Scripture-A-Week. I have been so busy the last month that I never got to share with you about why I’m so busy. Instead of continuing to say I’ll share it in another post, I’m just going to share it briefly here. I got a new job… It’s actually in the same department that I’m in, but it’s a promotion. It’s a lot more stress, but a lot more job satisfaction. And right now I’m doing 2 jobs, my old job and my new…

So how are y’all? I’m honestly feeling stressed, but instead of worrying I’m trying to pray and read and study scripture. Being disciplined is so hard when life just takes over and you get your priorities out of wack. I love that these scriptures help remind me what is truly important. I hope to share some stuff that’s been going on with me soon, so keep an eye out for that. Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives…

I just realized this didn’t get posted on the 15th like its supposed to. September is probably my craziest month of the year and this year is worse. I take team and individual photos for the local travel soccer league and that eats up all my free time in August and September. I’m currently dealing with an issue with one of the companies that prints the Memory Mates. It’s always one thing after another! I’ve also had a lot going on with my job, which I’ll might share with you later. So with just these things, my stress meter is…

Hey ya’ll! Hope everyone is having a great week! Here’s your September scripture a week sheet. These can be used to memorize, to post around the house as reminders of God’s love, etc! The follow words resonated with me. I hope they touch your heart like they did mine. Happy Fall, Y’all! Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” ~Hebrews 13:5 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. ~Psalm…

Here’s the next Scripture a week post for the coming month of August. I know for August much of the south will be returning to school. Teachers, administrators, janitors, bus drivers, and students gear up for another school year. While most parents are glad to have their kids back to a more structured schedule, many parents are reluctant to have to get back into all that comes with school and the after work activities that happen during the school year. With all that being said, I’ve gathered some more verses for us to pray over and possibly memorize during the…

While thinking of July, I think of how grateful I am to live in America. Even with all the drama and politics, I am happy to be free. So I was feeling a freedom theme. As an American, I know I take my freedom for granted, so I was thinking finding a couple scripture related to freedom would help me to remember something I don’t often think of. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. ~2 Corinthians 3:17 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm,…

I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve posted a scripture a week. Not sure why that is. Maybe because end of April and May are just so busy. End of year concerts, ceremonies, recitals, etc. As I searched through scripture to memorize for June I found several that spoke to my heart. I think I say that every month, but it is so true. I really take quiet time and pray and ask God to place scripture on my heart for not only me but for you as my readers. I found this last month or so with my…

I know I say it every year, but this year is just flying by. I don’t know why I’m every surprised. How are you doing on your scriptures? Whether you’re memorizing them, just keeping them nearby for encouragement throughout the week, or using them for bible journaling, it is great to have some scriptures that are your GO TO scriptures in time of need. This month have several of my favorites! Like I said these scriptures for May are a few of my all time favs. However I don’t have them memorized completely. I have the jist of a few…

How are you enjoying Spring? Has it started raining a lot where you are? We haven’t had a ton of rain, but I know North Alabama has had an abundance of rain. With April I expect to see lots more overcast, gloomy day and lots of rain puddles. I love this quote about from Dolly Parton about rain and rainbows. The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain. ~Dolly Parton Here are the 5 scriptures I plan to memorize for April… I will send rain on your land in its season,…

How’s is going so far for February’s Scripture-A-Week? If you’re not familiar with how Scripture-A-Week works check out my post here. I’ll have to say I started off great! I had my scriptures written in several places the first few weeks. I put it in my car, on the fridge, on the bathroom mirror. I was rocking it! Then, life got busier and by Thursday one of the weeks, I realized I hadn’t started or even thought about my scripture. So this goal is like anything else, you have to make time for it in your daily schedule. I start…

How are you coming along so far with your Scripture-A-Week? So far I am doing great. I have found myself thinking about it quite a few times throughout the day. When I’m starting to feel stressed or sad for one reason or another I refer back to scripture sheet for encouragement. I love having these scriptures as part of my daily life as I feel God working in my life, which is amazing. It’s also motivated me to go to the Bible more often as well. How have you seen this Scripture-A-Week goal affect your life so far? I know…

Happy New Year y’all! I’m trying a couple different link ups in the new year. One of my favorite blogs is In Residence by Anne. She does a link up called Currently. I used to write a post similar to this and decided it would be a good one to try again. Starting a new habit of drinking 3 bottles of water throughout the day which adds up to about 50 oz. I am so bad about drinking water and I only do it if I’m making a conscience effort, so I’m using an app to help me remember to…

Today I’m back to thinking about my New Year’s Resolutions. I have to keep in on the forefront of my mind or all those lofty goals will be long forgotten. Out of sight, out of mind, but I really want to succeed at accomplishing these goals. So today I’m thinking about making sure I drink enough water. Remember that our bodies are about 60% water, but in order for our bodies to remain healthy we have to drink water. In fact, our bodies require quite a bit of water everyday. Now we do get water from foods we eat, but…

I’ve dedicated several posts the last few weeks to making goals for the New Year. I thought it would be great for my kids to reflect and set a few goals as well. It’s important for kids to know what goals are and how to think through everything and plan. I also think it’s important for kids to think about the past and reflect on memories. Teaching kids to write things down is so important, especially in a day in age when everything is electronic. Let’s get back to pencil and paper for once! Download PDF copy of Reflections and…

Y’all I have been out of town for 11 days and it is so difficult getting back in the swing of things. I was honestly not ready to go back to work yesterday and I’m pretty unmotivated. I hate that! In the new year, there are many things I hope to accomplish and when you’re just not feeling it, it’s a bit discouraging. However, I’m not going to let that stop me. I’m going to push through it. With that being said, how many of you have made New Year’s resolutions or goals? Did any of you just get to…

Happy 2015! How can that be? With every new year, I try to look at it as fresh new beginning. Whether I make new years resolutions or not, I think it never hurts to reevaluate your life and to think about ways to improve it. Since I recently decided to rejuvenate my blog life and move to this new URL, I decided it would be a great year to start off with some New Year’s Resolutions. If you decide to write some, remember you should only have 3-7 goals. Having too many will overwhelm you and will make it hard…

Yesterday was a big birthday for me. I’ve entered my last year in my 30’s. **cringe!** My 40th birthday is in spitting distance. 🙁 So I decided to make a list of 40 things to accomplish this year. I plan to mark them off my list as I do them and may even write blog posts about many of them. So here they are…
