This is a post that I posted on my old blog back 5 years ago maybe. I will never forget though Rob’s reaction to this recipe was “where has then been all my life?!?!” I’ve wanted to make the dip again, but my family just really isn’t big dip eaters. I have used the leftovers for a few other recipes. I just love being able to take something prepared and enjoy it and then take what is left and re-purpose it. >>> Jalapeno Poppers – Repurposed Leftovers Servings: 12 Prep Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 30 minutes Ingredients: 3 (8…

One of the very first appetizers that I made was this one. It’s crazy to think that I published this recipe back on my old blog back in 2006! How time flies so quickly. Today I’m serving up a bit of a spicy dip that I called “Hot Tiger Dip.” Servings: 6-8 Prep Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 30 minutes Ingredients: 1 package creme cheese 4 oz. sour cream 1 tbs. Tabasco 1 tsp. garlic powder 2 cups…

Servings: 4 Prep Time: 0 minutes Cooking Time: 5-10 minutes Ingredients: 1 cup Monterey jack cheese or American cheese 4 ounces green chilies 1⁄4 cup half-and-half 3 jalapeno peppers, chopped fine sprinkle of salt Directions: 1. Mexican food is no doubt my favorite type of food. One of my favorite ingredient is the Guacamole. Ingredients: 4 ripe avocados ½ red onion, minced (about 1/2 cup) 3 tablespoons cilantro leaves, finely chopped 2 tablespoons of fresh lime or lemon juice 1 can of chopped tomatoes salt & black pepper (to taste) Directions: 1. Cut avocados in half. Remove seed. Scoop out avacado from the peel, put in a mixing bowl. 2. Mash the avocado with a fork. For a smoother guac put in food processor and blend quickly. 3. Add ingredients and stir. 4. Cover securely with…
