By | January 29, 2025

Here we are for another San Fran trip post.

Here are the previous posts in case you missed them:
Day 1  |   Day 2  |  Day 3 & 4

On Day 5, which was a Wednesday, I had breakfast with Kristen again then we said our goodbyes, as her husband didn’t need to stay for the rest of the conference. I decided that day to walk over to Stanford’s campus.

Here’s the Stanford Mausoleum, which you’ll find on the northwest side of the Stanford University campus in the Stanford University Arboretum that is the final resting place for the university’s namesake Leland Stanford, Jr. and his parents Leland and Jane Stanford.

As I walked through the Arboretum area, I found joy in watching the squirrels run, jump, and ‘hide’ watching me.

One of the main things I wanted to check out was the Arizona Garden.

There were a lot of squirrels in this garden too!

From there I walked by the Cantor Arts Center, which is an art museum that had the Yo/OY Exhibit in front of it that was a popular place for people to get photos with. Since I had a lot more walking ahead of me, I didn’t go in.

The B. Gerald Cantor Rodin Sculpture Garden is just outside of the museum.

At this point it was lunch time and I was feeling quite famished, so I ended up back near my hotel at Tacolicious. So good!

After lunch, I walked back to the hotel to rest before meeting Rob back over on campus for the Banquet to end the conference. It was on the top of the Stanford Football stadium that offered beautiful views of campus.

After food, drinks, and chatting with conference folks the night came to an end there and we headed back to the hotel for the night.

That is such a pretty campus. I love all the unusual species of plants in the Arizona garden.
