So last week was my 35th birthday. I was treated to cupcakes from Gigi’s Cupcakes in Auburn. Since I’m working more than I’m not, practically, we waited till the weekend to go out. We were up in Birmingham for soccer on Sunday, so I got to pick something different. I first thought about Chipotle, but when we went in, we were surprised to see it wasn’t a sit down restaurant. It’s an inexpensive, walk up, and order type place. Then we went over to The Summit, where I spotted Chuy’s. Oh, I adore that restaurant! Only been 1 time to one of the originals in Austin, TX. Buuuuuuut……we got there and there was long wait. I was anxious to get home, so we went elsewhere. Just down the way I decided to try the Cheesecake Factory, where we were seated immediately. SO! YUM! But so expensive. I had the Crispy Chicken Costoletta, which was better than I could have ever imagined. The menu describes it as Chicken Breast Lightly Breaded and Sautéed to a Crisp Golden Brown. Served with Lemon Sauce, Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Asparagus.
Drew had the Crusted Chicken Romano (lunch portion).
Breast of Chicken Coated with a Romano-Parmesan Cheese Crust. Served with Pasta in a Light Tomato Sauce.
Rob had the Pasta Carbonara (lunch portion).
Spaghettini with Smoked Bacon, Green Peas, and a Garlic-Parmesan Cream Sauce. Available with Chicken.
They both really enjoyed theres as well and lots of left overs. Alex had the kids meal Mini-Corndogs and fries. The fries he ate, the corndogs, not so much!
We were so stuffed that we didn’t have room for cheesecake. 🙁 Next time we need to go just for dessert!
