The past few weeks have been packed with travels, celebrations, and a few big life shifts. It’s been a lot, in the best way, and I’m finally sitting down to catch my breath and share a bit of it.

LIFE
Happenings
19 day vacation…
Halloween party
Run down of late September, early October: Week 39 & 40
Loving the memories from our vacation, which was so good!!

Happy to have been able to mark such a huge thing off my Bucket List – transiting the Panama Canal.
Excited to share about our trip. I have 1,000s of photos to go through, but I’m working as quickly as I can to get those posted.
Reminiscing
Since it was LA’s first Halloween, I’ve been thinking back to my boy’s 1st Halloween…

Social Gathering at our friends’ house during the Auburn/Arkansas game. Halloween Party at Drew & Caitlyn’s house.
Work Memories Was on vacation for nearly 3 weeks and cutting off work completely (which I typically still respond to messages from my students).
Current Project Still in the midst of our backyard project. They were supposed to start framing the deck this week, but rain has pushed their schedule out.
Drew and I had a great lunch the day after I got back from my cruise. Fun telling him all about it.
Alex has been getting over the trauma from his wreck.
Rob and I had a great time our cruise and now we’re trying to get acclimated to being back in the ‘real world.’
Most remembered Going through the Panama Canal. So amazing!
This Weekend I’m hoping that our deck is done and we can start enjoying it!
Looking Forward to Next Month I am so excited and ready for our new deck to be built and done.
FOOD
Eating So much. Hard to eat good on a cruise…I mean you have options, but when there’s a 24 hour ice cream machine…how can you turn that down??
Favorite Before getting on the cruises, our time in San Fran brought the opportunity for lots of good seafood. This meal from Chowder Hut was a fav for sure! The fish and chips were some of the best ever! And the crab chowder in the sour dough bread bowl…chef’s kiss!

ENTERTAINMENT

Favorite Pic I’m still going through all the photos from the cruise, but I do love this one from right after we went under the golden Gate Bridge.

Still sorting through the photos, the stories, and the little moments that made it all feel special. More to come soon, but for now I’m just glad to be home and slowly settling back in.
Look back at last month.

I can’t get over the cuteness of those 1st halloween photos! Adorable! Hope you are able to enjoy your new deck soon!
Good for you for not checking in with work while you were on vacation! What a great getaway!
I love those first Halloween comparisons! What adorable photos. I can not wait to read more about your trip. That seafood meal does look so tasty! There is nothing like being near the ocean and getting fresh seafood.
