Starting this post has been a whole journey in itself. I had most of it written, stepped away, came back…and somehow the bulk of it had vanished into thin air. Not in revisions, not hiding anywhere…just gone. So here I am, rewriting it, and you know how the second round never feels quite the same. But life has been full lately, and I still want to capture it, even if I’m piecing it back together.
LIFE
Happenings
Here’s my weekly posts to catch you up.
Week 1
Week 2
Week 3
Week 4
Loving two shows on Netflix: North of North / The Big C
Happy / Excited
Will all that has been going on (except for 1 little detail I can’t talk about right now), I haven’t been happy or excited about much. I have been stressed and my mental health just hasn’t been in a good place for about half of this month. I hope getting through February, I can come out the other side back to my stressfree/happy self.
Disappointments I’m disappointed that this month has started off with Rob being sick and then he tore his Bicep (Distal) Tendon which is going to require surgery in February.
Dreading February because Rob is having surgery. I pray he comes out of anesthesia better than he usually does. He also had terrible side effects from regular pain meds. I’ve also got an appointment that I’m absolutely dreading and trying to lean on God and prayer instead of worrying about it.
Reminiscing back to 2016 like so many people are. I hope to do a post at some point to reminisce more.
Social
I haven’t had any social outings with friends this month.
Work Memories
A really good student working hiring class, it seems.
Lesson Learned Not really a lesson, but just something I need to say. Since none of my family reads this, I should be good to talk about it. But I’ve been really mad lately.
Current Project Right now just trying to get through the next month.
Drew turned 28!

Alex went on his annual ski trip with some buddies.
Rob has had a rough month yet still be such a good son to his dad in helping him with aspects of his move here to Auburn.
Most remembered Rob’s Dad and step mom have moved to Auburn.
Wearing
Lots of layers because its been so cold here one week this month.
This Weekend It’s supposed to be super cold again, so I’m hoping to stay inside and rest. Watch some shows and do some things around thouse.
Looking Forward to Next Month
Can I just blink my eyes and it be March? That’s what I’m looking forward to.
FOOD
Eating As much as I have wanted to hit the year off eating healthy, it just hasn’t happened.
Favorite Tried a couple new restaurants in January. I really enjoyed both of them.

Meh…lots of good shots. Maybe this one.

Even with the frustrations, the stress, and the unexpected twists, writing all of this out reminds me that seasons shift. This one has been tough, but it won’t last forever. I’m ready for a fresh month, a fresh start, and maybe even a little breathing room. March can’t get here fast enough.
Look back at last month.
