Today I’m in the Caribbean Sea heading back to Miami enjoying our last day at sea. So these pics are from the weeks leading up to our cruise.
lined I love spring. These pretty yellow flowers lined the branch and I had to stop for a picture.
spiral This tree fungus growing on this dead stump looks like pencil shavings
spotted Rob and I were on a walk a couple weeks ago and I had first noticed a medium sized hawk flying and then perched on this tree. Then, Rob spotted this bird and then I realized it was an owl. We stood there several minutes watching him and the hawk being chased by another smaller bird.

your choice Not sure what kind of flowers these are but I love the color.
I’d love you to join along with us next week! Challenge yourself this week to step out of your comfort zone. Get low, go high, change your angle, get close, back up. Do something different with your shots this week! A couple simple guidelines..
1. Anyone can participate.
2. Since this challenge is meant to help you expand your eye for photography, try to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Or do as many as you got!
3. If you find yourself struggling, you may use one photo from your archive, but who will really know…
4. Link up here on Saturday or sometime before the next Saturday. You can use the button below or just a link would be nice.
5. Have fun iSpying!
For next week the prompts you will be looking to photograph or iSpy are as follows:
– trees
– scenery
– outfit – quarterly
– Starts with D
– Your Choice
Suggest a Prompt! If you have a prompt you would like to do, please comment below or email me with your ideas! I’ll keep a running list of those and use as needed.
Have fun with it! Happy iSpying!
Too funny; I almost used the exact same species of mushroom for spiral! At the last minute I changed it to a flower I found instead. These are all really great. I struggled so much with “ordered.” Hope you had a fabulous time on your trip.
Can’t wait to hear about the cruise! Hopefully it was amazing! I love your “ordered” and “spiral” pictures. And are those freesias in the last picture? I’d need to be able to see the stems to tell for sure…
Love the spiral fungi wow it’s amazing, and how wonderful to spot the owl. CarolG
Great photos – I like the ordered encyclopedias! And what are the chances of this? We also SPOTTED an owl and I used the photos for that prompt as well!
The yellow flower: Plantsnap says it is Scotch Broom (Cytisus scoparious), would that fit with your idea? CarolG
I have my doubts that it is Scotch broom, it seems more of a plant than a shrub. CarolG
I love all those beautiful blooms! What a beautiful sight to see spring has started to bud anew!
