Day three in Henderson didn’t come with a checklist or sightseeing agenda—and that was kind of perfect. After a slow start at the hotel, I wandered through antique and thrift shops, soaking in the local charm. One vendor’s sprawling camera collection made me pause and linger—it was the kind of simple delight that sneaks up on you. With the afternoon heat pressing in, we made our way to the pool area to visit and take in the view—mountains in the distance, stories all around.

Our third and final day in Henderson was all about taking it easy. After some relaxed time at the hotel, I wandered through a few local antique and thrift shops. I didn’t buy anything this time, but exploring secondhand spots in new towns is always a treat.

One of the vendors at this antique mall had a huge collection of old cameras. So fascinating!!

Rob’s conference ended with enough time for folks to have some free time. We ended up walking out to the pool area to visit and take in the views. Too bad it was so hot!

That night was the closing dinner for the conference—a relaxed, celebratory gathering beneath a canopy of string lights that twinkled like soft stars above us. The patio setting, framed by the silhouettes of nearby mountains, offered a quiet kind of majesty as the sun dipped low. Surrounded by new and familiar faces, we swapped stories, shared laughter, and savored one last meal—an unforgettable Henderson send-off wrapped in twinkle, twilight, and togetherness.

It wasn’t a day of big sights or shopping bags, but that’s what made it special. From forgotten cameras to string-lit conversations, Day Three offered quiet moments that linger longer than you’d expect. I may not have brought home souvenirs, but the photos I took—of thrift treasures, twilight skies, and a shared goodbye—feel like keepsakes all their own.

I love your blog redesign!!!!
Thank you!!
That sounds like a lovely day too.
Nice to read about a laid-back day without a strict plan. Did you find any specific thrift shop or vendor worth recommending for camera lovers? Sounds like a chill way to end the trip.
