Headed to Vegas (Vegas Trip Day 4 Pt 2)

Midday found us hungry and headed somewhere unexpected—a diner-meets-pizzeria with a dash of showbiz flair. What started as a pit stop became a pivot: less hustle, more healing, and just enough spectacle to keep our spirits lit.

So if you missed my last post from Day 4, you should check that out first >> Valley of Fire.

After leaving ended up having lunch at Cablp pronounced Cablip (Criss Angel’s Breakfast, Lunch & Pizza). It’s owned by magician and mind freak, Criss Angel.

I got the Rock ‘N’ Roll Zinger and it was delicious! Rob got a pizza, which he really enjoyed.

After leaving Moapa Valley we just over an hour drive to Vegas.

We got all checked in and our original plan was to head over to the Vegas strip and walk around. However, as I mentioned in the last post, I aggravated my achilles tendon/heel, so walking around sounded like a nightmare. We ended up just hanging out at the hotel until it was time to go the show. We Ubered to the STRAT for the iLuminate show. This show got its start on America’s Got Talent in 2011, which we actually watched. I can’t believe its been that long. Really entertaining show for all ages.

From there it was dinner at Beijing Noodle No. 9.

After dinner, we had to walk a good ways to go to where the Uber could pick us up, finally getting to head back to the hotel for some much needed rest and hopefully healing!

Day 4 didn’t unfold exactly as planned, but it still delivered plenty of sensory spark—from neon and noodles to a show that defied expectations. With a little help from rideshares and rest, we kept the momentum going… even if my heel had other ideas.

  1. That sounds like a great pivot. I have yet to see a show in Vegas that was a disappointment so I am sure you all enjoyed that show a lot. I remember them from AGT and we’re only occasional watchers at best.
